‘Trump Played Me For A Fool’: Disgruntled KY Trump Supporter Laments Not Having Voted For Hillary

Elliott County in Eastern Kentucky, which has voted for a Democrat for president in every election for 144 years, overwhelmingly went for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton, by a vote of 2,000 to 740.

The county remains overwhelmingly Democratic in its registration, with 4,580 registered Democrats and 429 registered Republicans, according to the Lexington Herald Leader.

This week, CNN visited Elliott County, which is among the poorest in the country with a staggering poverty rate of over 34% and which has one of the highest percentages of people in the nation who rely on federal benefit programs.

CNN sat down with one Democratic voter who for the first time in his life, cast a vote for a Republican presidential candiate, but is now regretting his decision to back then-candidate Donald Trump, who swore he’d never touch Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Trump’s new budget, released last Tuesday, recommends $4.1 trillion in spending cuts to federal assistance programs like food stamps and Medicaid, social services the Easterling family depends on to survive while jobs are scarce.

“I mean, I felt just like I was — just like he played me for a fool,” he said. “I mean, I kind of took it personal.”

When asked if he would recast his vote, he said “without a doubt” he’d vote for Hillary Clinton if he had the chance to do it again.

When CNN asked another Trump voter about Trump’s proposed cuts to federal safety net programs, he had just two words for his fellow neighbors: “Tough luck.”

Nothing but check drawing trash. Bet you they get the crazy/lazy SSI check the first of month, food stamps and Medicaid card. Then when that $ is spent they hit the local charities and churches bumming. I’ve seen it 10,000 times and it’s a repeating, generational thing. The miracle here is if this clod really did vote for Trump.

If you go to this Twitter account, Trump Regrets, you can see the people who voted for him that regret it. Some are legit if you go through their Twitter history. One thing the people who regret voting for him go after him on is when he says "fake news." These are people who saw how the media conducted themselves in the general election, yet now they attack Trump by using CNN.

I found this guy who voted for Trump and now is obsessed with Tweeting criticisms at Trump. CNN is clearly trolling the internet/country for people who regret their Trump vote. They also found this guy and were going to put him on their panel!

@NewDayCNN Why would you contact me to be on a panel Monday call me and tell me you cancelled it when you didn't cancel the show Angry

Accepting, for argument’s sake, the accuracy of the story, I wonder what the person expected from Donald Trump, other than the continuation of welfare benefits. He could have expected the continuation of welfare benefits from a Democrat, so ... what did Trump offer that he imagined he wanted, and now imagines he hasn’t received?

Voting for Trump but not liking him is rational. Regretting not voting for clinton is mental illness.

Guys, guys, this is FAKE NEWS from CNN on steroids!!

One of the narratives of the MSM is, “Isn’t Kentucky dumb? They voted for Trump and he’s gonna take away their health care!!””

Totally nuts. One in four Kentuckians IS on expanded Medicaid, thanks to Obama. That is TRUE. But for the rest of us, we have become UNINSURED even while we carry insurance, because our rates have literally FOURPLED (if you can accept that as a word) while all the Medicaid folks essentially use the benefits WE pay for but our premiums and deductibles are so high we don’t go the doctor!!!!

CNN sat down with one Democratic voter

I hope I don't have to point out the fallacy of extending the view of a singular voter to a whole county.

You knew that if they dug hard enough, deep enough, they’d find one. I would imagine you could find a legion of people who regret voting for Hillary just by standing on an average street corner.

The nitwit likely has a misshapen head, is a meth user and is on disability. He’s afraid of losing his various ill-gotten benefits from the taxpayers.

“I bet he has no cable or internet and probably no phone.”

Wrong! I’ll bet the dickweed has cable, internet, an Obama phone and eats steak and shrimp every day of the week. He lives far better than you and me.

My guess is that “played for a fool” got the notice that there would be work (yes, a four letter word that scares the hell out of gibmedats) requirements for welfare!!!!!!
