This is just one example. In New Hampshire, Cruz ran an ad (with the personal approval quote from him attached) saying Trump had made himself rich by using eminent domain. This was such a nasty, vicious lie, it’s hard to break it all down.

First, Trump never made one penny from using eminent domain. Not one cent. It was a one-hundred-percent lie told by a person claiming to be the Christian candidate, and put out in hopes of utterly destroying Trump in the minds of anyone who believed it.

Second, the only eminent domain case Trump had anything to do with lost. Contrary to the ad, the woman kept her house. It was not demolished [until years later, when she voluntarily sold it for a fraction of what Trump had offered her].

Thirdly, private citizens cannot use eminent domain. Only the state can. Supposed Constitutional scholar Cruz tried to convince voters that not only could Trump use eminent domain personally, but that he could make billions by putting old ladies out of their homes. It was simply evil—and not something that’s easily forgotten.

Really? That was it? I heard that about Trump long before Cruz used it. It was in the realm of common knowledge. Trump even fed it by implying that he got the best politicians money could buy. Ok, that is strange to me. Those were not new accusations, just unanswered ones.

Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me.
