The Democrats created the problem and the new elected powers that be need to sort things out before agreeing to ANYTHING THE DIMS PROPOSE.
He guaranteed that he would choose from the list he put out. It was not “the types of people”, rather I thought he said he would choose from the list. Thus, the people voted knowing the potential nominees. It is not as if this is a big unknown.

The great successes move on to other realms, Senators, judges, legal scholars, where they are free to invent alternative systems of law, unconstrained by the US constitution and the common law context that give it meaning, and the citizens justice.

Yes, they did not have to go as far as SCOTUS for the nuclear option under Reid. The Dems are not going to cooperate in voting for any justice who is pro-life
