I am not required to show ID but *every time I go*, I make a point of not only showing my ID, but announcing that *everyone* should have to.
My [D] poll people dread my arrival.
The [R] people grin.
*However*, in 2012, my regular poll people were all gone, save two.
[they are all people I have literally known, my whole life]
They’d been replaced by goons who were skilled at making everyone nervous.
Even the [D] woman, who I’ve seen there every election since 1980, was jittery.
I asked where the other ladies were and she whispered “they’re not coming”.
The now-ancient guy who carries ballots back to the box was shaking so hard, it looked as if he was terrified and near tears.
The goons were hostile to all of us “regulars” but very friendly to the insanely large hordes of “new voters”, who I have *never* seen at the polls, *or* in this area.
There was also a huge new cardboard ‘monolith’ in the middle of floor, outlining how to vote when you have no ID and stating provisional ballots would be issued, no matter what.
When I left, I saw blacks and Hispanics, both of whom are scarce as hens’ teeth, here, *walking* up the road to the polling place, which is in the middle of nowhere.
Where were they walking *from*?
It was not until after the polls closed that it occurred to me, there is a truck stop not too far from there, with a large lot in the back, with *no* lights.
I can only assume that the lot was full of buses, that night.
Out here in hillbilly heaven, we got rick-rolled.
MD was a given for Obeyme *but* the ballot included votes for pot and homo marriage.
They were there to make sure MD rolled over, for both.
You must be mistaken as we have been assured many many times that voting fraud doesn’t exist. /sarcasm
And how many of those students ALSO voted, absentee, in their home districts?
