They have a right to their opinions and political voice, just like any other group in this country.
Just because the Leftards freak out about it - or use it as a wedge - doesn’t invalidate their votes.
Hell, there’s the Communist Party, Revolutionary Worker’s Party, Maoist Party, etc., and other Democrat subversive groups, and THEY have a right to vote and be heard.
That’s the thing about the First Amendment... it’s there to make sure all voices are heard.
Whether the Left likes it or not.

Agreed. But if Trump had answered the question in that fashion, he’d instantly lose thousands of votes from the mushy middle, and he’d be fighting off charges of “racism” (more so than he already has to do) for weeks to come.
There is simply no political upside to admitting to wanting the votes of white supremacists. And Trump knows it.
