PHILADELPHIA – I'll say this for Hillary Clinton.
She certainly attracts a high-quality sort of protester.
The people who showed up to protest Donald Trump last week in Cleveland were a self-centered bunch of attention-seekers. That chant that ended "five, six, seven, eight, America was never great!" was not intended to score political points with either side in this contest.
But the Bernie Sanders supporters who showed up at the City of Brotherly Love have, coincidentally enough, shown a lot of brotherly love.
Unlike in Cleveland, where the convention was held in a crowded downtown, this is being held in an isolated sports complex far from the crowded city streets.
The demonstrators can't get near the arena but they've got a nice, big city park to spread out through. They're clearly enjoying it.
A couple of rock bands showed up and gave impromptu concerts on the grass. Volunteers handed out water bottles to the crowd. The police mainly left them alone and vice-versa....

The natural result for a party that for years has made pie-in-the-sky promises of everything for everybody and nobody has to pay - eventually the true-believers wake up and realize they’ve been scammed - and turn on the scammers.....
Hillary is to progressives as Jeb is to conservatives. Imagine how bent out of shape we would be with Jeb being proclaimed the nominee. Either way, Jeb or Hillary. We would know the country is lost.

The Republican Party elite wasn’t successful in stopping the guy who brings out the big crowds in their party.
But the Democratic elite succeeded in stopping the guy who did so on their side.
They could have beaten Sanders without all that chicanery.
Instead they went a bit too far.
By November, they may end up regretting that.

I noticed the DNC is on like 10 channels. I don’t remember the RNC being but on one channel. Looks like someone is getting desperate.
Bernie and Dems never figured he would attract such crowd/following. Took them by surprise.
By now we all know Bernie was never serious about his ‘revolution’, and his revolutionary ‘army’ seethe and burn. Nobody can put back the genie once it’s escape out of the bottle.
At first I thought the malcontents were tired and the protest will quickly die down. Now I am not so sure, as it seems mobs are gathering ......
