Hillary Clinton will issue a challenge to the Black Lives Matter movement at the Democratic National Convention next week by spotlighting the mothers of several African Americans who have been recently killed by police or gun violence.
The Mothers of the Movement organization will be featured Tuesday at the convention at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, The Hill reports. The group first met with Clinton in November.
The seven mothers include those of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen killed by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, in 2012; Eric Garner, a New York man killed in 2014 by a police chokehold; Sandra Bland, a woman who died in a Texas jail after a traffic arrest last year; and Michael Brown, whose police killing — also in 2014 — in Ferguson, Mo., created a national movement amid the current campaign season....

No wonder the police are pissed-I hope they get even more so, because Hillary just spat in their faces and flipped them the bird...

The RNC gave the Cleveland police lots of political support and good reasons to enforce order on the protestors. And they did just that.
The DNC has given the Philadelphia police no reason to care about out of control protestors. It will be interesting to see if there is crowd control in Philly or chaos.
Please stop unintentionally spreading this lie. I saw that video numerous times and it was NOT a choke hold. I was trained in choke holds and anyone who has ever seen an action movie knows that was not such. As the police took him down, one cop had an open arm around the back and side of Garner's neck. It never went all the way around to the front of the neck. The man died from a heart attack. Just google choke hold.
However, why the cops bothered with some guy selling cigarettes when they were dispatched to a fight is beyond me.
I read the article, but I don’t see where she is “challenging” Black Lies Matter, she’s letting their sympathizers speak at the convention.
The only thing I’m surprised about is that she didn’t invite Mumia Abu Jamal, the murderer of Philly Police Officer Daniel Faulkner, address the convention live from his prison cell.
