Wake reduction, wind shear, whatever they call it?

Winglets are used to reduce turbulence, and they also effectively increase the wingspan without increasing the gate space needed to park the aircraft. Raked wingtips like those on the 777-300ER are more efficient than winglets, but they make the planes take up more gate space.

One advantage of the flying wing configuration is that it greatly decreases the radar signature of the plane. Why would someone want to add in a feature that would increase the radar signature?
