As Sportin’ Life says is Porgy and Bess, it ‘aint necessarily so. Trump’s rise if like that of William jennings Bryan back in 1896, That too, was a rebellion against the leaders of the Democratic Party, It caught the wave of populism that swept the rural voters of America who were distraught over the effects of the Great Depression of the ‘90s. The difference is that Bryan was a very young man, and Trump is old. The result was a flight by the Elites into the Republican Party.Except for insurgent movement of Teddy Roosevelt in 1912, the Republicans were the majority party until 1930.

I think this is very different time.
As to Trump being old, not in today’s world.
Trump and Bill Clinton are the same age. Clinton has heart problems and debauched himself while Trump has led a life free of most vices. His energy level is that of a 25 year old compared to Hillary, she is more like 80.

I guess we’ll see. I predicted last June that Trump would be the nominee. Who’s been right more so far, me or you?
