ABC, predictably, is seeking to foment a war between Republicans. The "American Broadcasting Company," is probably the least "American," of the major networks. (Aren't they also connected with ESPN, who has been firing sports legends, lately, because they dared express Conservative social views?)

The effort, here, is to elevate Speaker Ryan's pique of the moment into a celebrated cause, which it most definitely is not. As for ABC's opinion of core Republican principles? Just how many of their talking heads have ever backed a Republican Presidential candidate? If Ryan has any sense left, he will repudiate this effort to elevate his pique.

Let me make one other point. Is there any more basic core Republican principle than putting America First? Anything? Also, speaking of core principles, is not the Republican Party the one that first acted decisively in the 1920s to get a handle on unlimited immigration? Was it not the Democrats, who since 1965 have been associated with the flood of often incongruous immigration, often over Republican objections?

One could go down the list of major issues, and they would see that Donald Trump's stands are more in line with Republican policy over the past century, than are those of many whom the now Republican dissidents earlier supported, in the Primaries now coming to a conclusion.

But, again, this is ABC trying to stir up discord in our ranks.
