The 12 Signs That Trump Will Win the White House
The Politico ^ | May 4, 2016 | Matt Latimer

Think the Donald can’t possibly become president? Here’s how it could happen.

Unless the #NeverTrump people have been hiding a mad scientist with a DeLorean in a warehouse somewhere and haven’t gotten around to telling anybody, Donald J. Trump is now the certain Republican nominee for president of the United States. True to form, having learned nothing from their yearlong string of overconfident and embarrassingly wrong predictions about voter behavior and preferences, the D.C. pundit class has already proclaimed him a general election loser.

Not so fast. For the handful of polls that have Trump losing by double digits, there’s one or two that foretell a much closer race. And if enough major chips fall the tangerine billionaire’s way, he may get his shot at repainting the White House metallic gold. Want to know if you should join Lena Dunham on a house-hunting trip in Canada? Here’s a month-by-month guide of the signs of a looming Trump victory....

The only candidate who took it directly to Obama and the media. That’s why he won, and will win in November.

I’m going to the May 6th Omaha rally!

I’m hoping to speak with a Trump person to advocate for the full pardon for Border Patrol Agents Compeon & Ramos. What happened to them was travesty of justice!

There is no doubt in my mind that it will happen. Similarly, there is no doubt in my mind that Trump will dismantle the Washington cartel.

It’s simple.

The citizens want the invasion stopped.

Political pundits and commentators are like stock analysts and economists. They are great at “predicting” the past in telling you what happened in the past and the present in telling you what is happening now but when it comes to predicting the future they are just another bunch of chimps with darts.

Trump is also tapping into the anger and frustration of the poor working class, black and white, of jobs lost to moving factories overseas and illegal immigrants competing domestically. And many of those voters are traditionally Democrat.

Thanks, 2ndDiv.

Isn't this rather early for Politico to be advertising bad news for Hillary?

It's shocking to see the Mass Media attacking Hillary now, and I see that Anderson Cooper just gave her a tough interview.   I'm not quite prepared psychologically for it.

The sky seems to be falling.  Megyn Kelly will soon do a one-on-one with Trump.  What the heck is next? Will Glenn Beck kiss Trump's ring? Will George Will compare Trump to Reagan.

Quick, somebody slap me: I must be daydreaming.  This just might be over sooner than we think.

Truth be told, the reason we had so many Republican candidates this year is there was already great optimism for Republicans:

  1. After 8 years of ineffective Democrat rule, the country wants to boot the bums out.
  2. The country's economy is weak and people can feel it.
  3. Hillary is a very poor campaigner and is vulnerable in many, many areas.

I'm not complaining -- just confused.

Are negative odds like 50 to 1 that Sanders won’t be president?

Almost all Washington commentators are pro-abortion. This means they are necessarily (spiritually) blind to how evil Hillary is.

“Perhaps he can even chip in to replace lead-infested water pipes there.”

Actually that’s not a bad idea. Trump spends 25 million or so to actually replace pipes while Democrats demagogue the issue. Kind of like the NYC ice rink.

#13. Hillary continues to push gun control. Obama was smart enough not to talk about gun control until after the election. Hillary isn’t that smart.

Article is sloppy. Trump did NOT “hire” Ed Rollins. Ed Rollins is running a FAKE “pro-Trump” PAC.

Not surprisingly, the linked article is snarky.

Matt Latimer is a former speechwriter for President George W. Bush. He is currently a co-partner in Javelin, a literary agency and communications firm based in Alexandria, and contributing editor at Politico Magazine.

Should this come as any surprise?
