I remember back when Cruz announced and before Trump did, I had a discussion between with another Cruz supporter, (one that has either has been banned or lays low since) there was was discussion on how Cruz would set in place a solid ground game because the odds were stacked against a grassroot favorite conservative like him because of all the ins and outs in place within the primary system and the emphasis should be put on gaining an actual committed delegate count.

This game is being played as expected, his opponent being Donald 'EF Hutton' Trump and network ratings sensation, may not have been as expected.

“...and network ratings sensation, may not have been as expected.”

As I have said, Washington state this year does have a Republican Primary that will be binding. So it will be interesting to see if Trump comes and does the big rallies and media blitz, and how successful that will be compared to Cruz’s method of doing the local work.

At this stage of the game, with a real possibility of a second ballot, Cruz might be on the right track.

There was something on Facebook where they were tracking the delegates, who was bound and unbound, some of Rubio’s iirc are now unbound...it was confusing. But, they had it figured that Cruz was only down by 70 delegates on the first ballot.

Although that will be soon to change with New York results tomorrow and other east coast states in the near future.
