It was disconcerting to say the least the lack of involvement. And even at the district level where only about 300 to 400 people showed up - I thought that there would be thousands. But - it also shows how just even the basic leg-work by a candidate can make a difference. And how one person CAN make a difference. As opposed to my vote in the general election getting lost in a sea of votes for obama, hillary and bernie hee in liberal latte land.

After seeing the process I will make sure to be more involved in the future.

Yes, but you are omitting how the GOPe shares a substantial role in causing and exploiting this dearth of voter turnout at the caucuses, then pretends it is a fair process, and pretends it gives these self chosen few a mandate to represent the voters against their will. To use an imperfect analogy, there are facets of this situation akin to requiring people to not where clothing, making it difficult to carry around wallets, and then when people accidentally drop a wallet on the pavement, the GOPe comes along to pickup the wallet, finds the money inside the wallet, and proceeds to spend the money while loudly proclaiming it is only fair for them to represent the owner of the money when spending it on their own desires. Most people see some highly unethical behavior involved in the role/s played by the GOPe in reality or in the imperfect analogy. While it is true the voters are responsible for their not taking whatever measures are necessary to ensure they can participate in the caucus, there are many members of the GOPe who are perfectly happy in discouraging participation to make it easier for themselves to control the election for their own goals and aspirations. How many Republican voters even knew when and where the caucus elections were to take place and understood the importance of the caucus in this election after the straw poll for the Presidential election was removed from the caucus and put into a new primary election? Answer, practically none, because the GOPe found it advantageous to leave Republican voters ill informed and poorly motivated. Ever notice how the GOPe waits until after the GOP has finished the nomination of the GOPe candidate before it begins a GOTV (Get out the Vote) effort in the community? Now you know why.

But we were told using the government to steal property was legal, so it was okay?
