I think so too. Rubio, Kasich and some Trump delegates move.
At this point, that’s what I’m hoping for.
Most Republicans have voted for someone else besides Cruz also
Dear Mike, Most republicans have voted for someone rather than Ted Cruz.
Now Mike Lee is going to get attacked and called GOP-e.
If Cruz wins SO DOES HILLARY in the end.
And then he loses in the general. Lol. Can’t win the big one, so let’s slime our way in. We’ve been sCruzed!!!
Never in a MILLION years will Cruz be the nominee.
I have no idea what these morons think they are gaining by pushing this crappy idea that the nomination can be stolen at the convention from Trump.
Even if Trump comes up a little short of committed delegates, he will just lobby/bribe enough of the uncommitted delegates to get him over the top.
The real key is running up the score in NY and California.
“We have to remember that most Republicans around the country have voted for someone other than Donald Trump.”
Can someone explain that logic to me” Even FEWER have voted for Cruz.
Lee, let me make a suggestion. Since MORE voters will have voted for Trump, why not just make him the candidate.
And here come the Messiah’s followers in 3...2....1....
If, somehow Cruz closes to within 100 delegates of Trump and Trump is 150 or 200 short, then a contested convention may make more sense...but I am hoping, and praying, that that does not happen.
I stand by my appeal to Ted Cruz, even though I support him, that if Trump continues to lead by the margins that he currently has, that Cruz throw in with Trump and unite the party. it is in his power to do so.
Trump will have 400 more delegates and millions of more votes, but give it to somebody in the club.
Hi 2DV,
I hope you are well. Thanks for this post. I’d been thinking the same thing for a while now. After Wisconsin, it appears that it is closer to reality.
I have a related, but slightly off point, question - is the 1237 a hard number? Is it 50% +1 of all delegates? Or 50% +1 of those voting? If the latter, I suppose it is possible for some delegates to be delayed, or choose not to attend the balloting. My memory is that each state delegation travels with a number of alternates to reduce the likelihood of non-attendance.
What are your thoughts?

But we ALL VOTED AGAINST THE ESTABLISHMENT
Breaking and Front Page News?
Who can argue with the Cartel.
They are the House, this is their casino, and they “fix” the House Rules.
Then there is Cartel Cruz on all four legs holding up the gaming tables for them.
Heck of a deal, all around.
GOPe talking point to keep the Ryan nominating crowd working to fight Trump.
Whats it going to take, they have said it would not be one of the ones running they have stacked the delegates with party insiders and they openly tell you that you it does not matter what WE want the establishment picks the nominee.
But hey, people supporting an anti-American Globalist because he positioned himself with lawyer tricks to look Tea Party are pretty easy to keep roping in...
Chris Stierwald gave a strategy last night that he wins on the FIRST ballot. He could do it if he garners enough primary votes, and enough uncommitted and Rubio supporters.
