After Donald Trumps series of victories in the Republican Partys March primaries, it became clear to everyone that Trump is the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination. But the cheeseheads of Wisconsin may be poised to blunt Trumps momentum. And if Trump loses Wisconsin, he may fail to gain the 1,237 delegates he needs to secure the GOP nod.
Republican activists wont support Trump on the second ballot
Barring an unforeseen collapse, its pretty much impossible for Ted Cruz to end up with more delegates than Donald Trump when the last states vote on June 7. And its impossible for John Kasich to come anywhere close. But as Trumps erratic statements continue to accumulate, the #NeverTrump coalition is quietly organizing to deny Trump the nomination if Trump cant win it on the first ballot. Many of the delegates bound to vote for Trump at the Republican National Convention in July will be free to vote for whomever they choose on a second or third ballot....

Makes my heart skip for joy!!
Once again: New York votes on April 19, and we have northeastern primaries (MD, DE, CT, etc.) on April 26. April will be a very good month for Trump, his delegates lead will be bigger on April 27 than it is now.
The Cruzers are trying to treat Wisconsin like Iowa - basically pretending winning it alone with one the nomination - but the reality is it won't erase Trump's delegate lead, it won't influence how New York and those other states vote later this month, and it won't change the fact that Wisconsin, should Cruz win it, will likely be his only win in the entire month of April.
April Fools was yesterday ...
Would like to see your spreadsheet ... do you have Cruz winning NY and NJ lol ...
Too bad that’s not a picture of bikers headed for a Trump rally in Wisc.
Sessions is the same age as Trump. I really, really like him, but, come on - we can’t have two 69 year olds on the ticket. Yes, Lee is under investigation, and it isn’t by Democrats. Google is your friend.
Trump doesn’t let anyone’s lies sit for long.. he answers them. If that’s thin skinned.. ok. On the other hand, GW let obama lie for 6 years... about GW, about Republicans... about anything and everything. Too many believed those lies due to GW letting them stand.
I’ll take Trump’s way of getting on it right away.
Oops, did I mistake you for a Cruz booger? If so - my apologizes.
We will never have the “ultimate” conservative President. I believe Cruz is more conservative than Trump by a lot. However, I think he will be ineffective. I believe Trump’s focus on serious problems outweighs his conservative deficiencies . To be able to get Trump in requires taking on Kasich, who Ohio seems to like, seems worth it.
If Trump does not get the nomination, he will run 3rd party, split the Republicans and sHrillary gets the Whitehouse. This has been Douche heads plan right along.
May.... or may not.
Trump is way ahead in delegates so far.
He doesn’t have the liquid cash available to run an effective third party campaign.
Since Wisconsin is NOT Winner Take All, it will make little difference in the overall Delegate Count of the two Candidates.
It just makes it harder to reach the Magic Number for Trump. Cruz won’t even be close come Convention time.
Cruz will probably get more Delegates out of Wisconsin, but it won’t be a shut out by a long shot.
Que Sara Sara, whatever will be will be.
It’s too bad you tRump supporters aren’t paid by the stupid things you say, you’d all be rich.
Hey our candidate isn’t being funded and staffed by the Bushes and the GOPe. You seem confused. :-)
2D has very few hobbies aside from posting anti Trump drivel. In fact, this is the first time I’ve logged on today and within 30 seconds I found a 2D article. Never mind. Trump easily wins the next 6 states after WI which will put him at 28 states won or something like that. Good like trying to keep him from the nomination let alone stealing it.
“Keep on TRUMP-IN baby, gotta keep on TRUMP-IN!!” Little 1973 Eddie Kendricks, (sort of), there!
I bet Cruz wishes he too were in a position to lose WI and others and still have a path to 1237. LIke Trump does.
It seems that the GOPe Alamo is located somewhere north of the Cheddar Curtain. If Trump gets significant numbers in Wisconsin (some n=but not necessarily all of the delegates) and walks away with New York, Cruz has to turn in his chips at the Trump Casino. Kasich needs to dissolve into the flotsam and jetsam of the process.....and get back on his Haldol and Lithium.
