John Kasich appealed directly to Donald Trump supporters Thursday, trying to convince them that he could better channel their anger than the bombastic front-runner.
Speaking in New York City, Kasich criticized Trump for such positions as banning Muslims from entering the country and building a wall along the border with Mexico, calling them “wild-eyed suggestions” and saying that Trump is “really not prepared to be President of the United States.”
But then the Ohio Governor pivoted to Trump’s voters, saying he empathizes with the rage he believes is animating their decision to back Trump....

I cursed at the TV for an hour during his hometown meeting.
He feels our pain.
To which he should have been asked, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”
- “Gay ‘marriage’ is settled . . . bakers should bake the cupcake”, is not how you stand up for the religious freedom of those who object to participating in a parody of the sacrament of marriage. [That was Kasich]
- “No, I don’t regret voting for the Assault Weapons Ban” is not how you stand up for the second Amendment. [That was also Kasich]
- Expanding Obamacare in your state is not how you stand up for freedom and for limited government. [That was Kasich too]
- “But for the 11 million people, come on, folks, we all know you can’t pick them up and ship them across, back across the border” is not how you discourage more illegals from invading America and taking our jobs and our tax dollars. [Yes, Kasich again]

Kasich should run as a democrat. He’d be going up against a socialist who scares the party establishment and a felon who scares everyone who has ever held a clearance, which even includes some democrats. Besides, it would be a rare chance for him to be honest if he admitted he’s always been a democrat at heart.
Wow. Not that I was ever inclined to support Kasich (who is he, again?) but those quotes are convincing evidence that he does NOT deserve to be our candidate.
First and foremost, we need a candidate who has the fortitude to go against the socialist/democrat agenda and not apologize when he is criticized for it.
It would seem that I am still supporting Trump.
He sounds like an extra boring SNL skit on infinite loop.
Liberalism has to be the world's greatest narcotic while it remains the world's most destructive. Kasich is a prime example. His everlasting delusions appear euphoric.
Comedy Gold was a great response, it’s Trump or Cruz and that’s it.

Not if you think what he would do in his first 100 days!
Kasich polls much better against Clinton or Sanders than does Cruz. By that polling criteria costantly espoused by the Cruz supporters on FR, Kasich is the logical alternative to Trump (I am voting for Trump).

Don’t forget that this is the man who would also happily pick a Democrat for his VP or run as VP on a Democrat ticket!
And Trump doesn’t??
