Just read the whole article by Cruz’ own delegate before you post your “opinion”. Like the author says, most are too lazy to actually research Trump’s healthcare plan.

Joe Scarborough’s alleged mistress was found dead in his congressional office.

Joey isn’t necessarily the best judge of character.

Here’s the problem that Cruz has.

He (just guessing) says that he’s going to repeal Obamacare on day one. Ok.

Now here’s the problem:

We have millions of people forced onto Obamacare by law (thanks Roberts). They paid money (well some) into it.

We get rid of Obamacare, do the people that paid money into it get a refund? Will those that have been penalized get a refund too?

The people forced onto it because their workplaces got rid of their health plan....what do you do with these people? They now have no insurance, and nowhere to get it.

And what about the insurance companies that went under?

Are people that had their hours cut due to it, will they get their hours back?

Either person is going to HAVE TO walk the whole Obamacare mess back to 2010 before this thing was passed. And that is just to GET RID OF IT. The ruins of our healthcare system will then have to be rebuilt.

There isnt going to be some magic day one repeal. And this isnt going to be fixed with one easy bill.

All right. Lets suppose. Suppose Trump does have a great plan.

But first we have to address the question of WHY the government must involve itself in health care at all.

Much less pay for it.

“I know you are but what am I” sounds like it came directly from the 4th grader Trump’s tweet.

Please tell me it did that would be as exciting as getting my name in the phonebook.

See post 29.

You’re not the first one here to get your panties in a wad over a word for word quote of what Trump said and what trump will do.

And then cuss me out for it.

Look, we can make one characterization of Trump that few can dispute.

He’s a business man who, if he hasn’t grown his assets, has at least kept them from shrinking (has kept them in the vital zone of the market).

If we could do that with respect to American assets we would probably be rolling in the dough very soon.

TRUMP IS NOT GOING TO WANT TO EMBRACE ANYTHING LESS WISE THAN THE BEST HE KNOWS.

Trump’s biggest issue is that his knowledge is still limited. As another one I respect told me, Trump is dealing in good buzz words. Running real estate isn’t the same as running a government.

Trump is going to need some breathing room and some good advisors to give his ideas substance. I have to give Trump credit for having the energy and the persistence. We could have a good synergy going around Trump if we could refrain from forming circular firing squads and form some building teams instead.

It’s really up to us. Trump, the apparent unbeliever, looks more poised to be a portal of the work of God than many a politician we have seen before who has professed belief. But that work will not excuse us.

I’ve proposed that we (Jim Rob maybe?) reach out to Trump and ask him to be a Freeper. He could put up with the worst guff here, he would be no shrinking violet. But he would learn a lot too... this place really is a think tank.

Has anybody asked Trump to clarify whether he was talking about government paying for anybody who doesn’t have insurance, or government paying for people who can’t afford health insurance?

‘Cause a lot of times people go without health insurance because they have other priorities. But there are some who can’t afford health insurance. Then there are those who have insurance but can’t afford to see a doctor. I’ve got health insurance but can’t afford the deductible right now so there won’t be any medical care for me in the near future. Still, though, I’d be classified as a person whose healthcare situation is just peachy.

Instead of either campaign accusing the other of lying, couldn’t somebody just do the reasonable thing and ask Trump to clarify what he said? Or couldn’t Trump come out with something that DOES clarify his position? Leaving that interview as it stood was irresponsible.

Excellent, excellent question.

This touches on a proposition I have made.

Let’s invite Trump to be a Freeper, and then if he becomes one, let’s try to keep a constructive tone going... let’s propose better things than the best he knows, without getting all supercilious about it.

If we can make two quantum leaps out of Obamacare, rather than one, and make it fly... why not?

But if, for whatever reason we can’t, then we would be wise to accept one quantum leap rather than none.

That’s where I come from here.

From the article (please read it in entirety)— “we taxpayers already pay to provide health care services to millions of our nation’s indigent and those who are developmentally disabled. We also subsidize programs such as Medicare Part D and other health care programs. We will continue to do so because Americans are compassionate people who seek to help those who are truly in need. I say truly in need because under the PPACA (Obamacare) we expanded Medicaid to single adults without children who happen to fall below 138% of the Federal Poverty Level. In doing so we robbed those finite resources from single mothers and the developmentally disabled. That is not helping those who are truly in need and this among other reasons is why Trump wants Obamacare repealed and replaced with a ‘universal’ health care system that encourages more competition among private health insurers with an emphasis on reforming how taxpayers pay for our health care safety net.”

They can have everything they can pay for. Competition will increase their options and then they will pick and choose, no one else will be deciding what can be on their plate.

That sound great. Yippee.

But then what does Trump mean when Trump says "The government's gonna pay for it?"

And the larger question begs to be asked here:

WHY IS TRUMP EVEN DRAGGING THE GOVERNMENT INTO THESE HEALTH CARE ISSUES AT ALL?

Isn't the conservative POV one that the Gubmint has no business in health care concerns?

From sources that arent a blog.

http://www.statnews.com/2016/02/05/trump-cruz-universal-health-care/

“Trump has said he doesn’t support Obamacare but does believe the government should pay for health insurance for all.”

http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-supports-national-health-care-2011-4

“We must have universal healthcare,” wrote Trump. “I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one. “

Here’s Trump saying it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPJfKdp3bDs

Of course he’s failed to address the issue on his campaign website. perhaps he’s getting ready to flop again.

That was pretty quick, and maybe needless.

A lot of the problems here are misunderstanding problems, are mental model problems.

My “opinion”?

Sweetheart, if you would look, you’ll see I posted a word for word transcript of what Trump said Trump will do. That’s hardly my “opinion”.

Now be a good girl and go watch TV or something. Adults are talking here.

He put it in his books. I had no trouble putting it together, it is very freely available. Please see post 38. He has explained multiple times that Universal Healthcare means that some form will be available to every one. He has also explained that the charity system is a separate system. I believe in digging to see what a candidate’s position really entails. I don’t think it is ever enough to just read a prepared statement. I need to check one against another statement and see where they differ, how one interlocks with another.

With Mr Trump, the deeper I dig the more internally consistent he becomes. His pragmatism, creativity, love of America and drive to use his experience and muscle to benefit the American people and return America to her greatness is what I see at the end of each search.

Trump on Vet’s Healthcare from his site:
“Under a Trump Administration, all veterans eligible for VA health care can bring their veteran’s ID card to any doctor or care facility that accepts Medicare to get the care they need immediately.
Our veterans have earned the freedom to choose better or more convenient care from the doctor and facility of their choice. The power to choose will stop the wait time backlogs and force the VA to improve and compete if the department wants to keep receiving veterans’ healthcare dollars.
The VA will become more responsive to veterans, develop more efficient systems, and improve the quality of care because it will have no other choice.”

In each case you cited, he was making it plain that he was talking about people who could not afford health insurance.

Peoples’ lives are saved everyday who cannot afford the cost of their health care.
