If Iowa was Sen. Ted Cruz's stomping ground, New Hampshire was set up to be a resounding defeat.
The evangelical values Cruz campaigned on in the Midwest were in short supply in the secular Granite State. He -- and everyone else -- polled double-digits behind Donald Trump. But though Trump snagged his first win in Tuesday night's primary, Cruz notched a comfortable third-place finish after Ohio Gov. John Kasich and avoided a brawl that experts said are likely to bruise the weaker candidates in the race.
He spent 500K. He got 3rd in a state where he could get 2-6th place. Phenomenal.
Pundits?
Cruz spent $500K and placed ahead of the GOP-e guy who spent 66 times that. In both primaries to date he has achieved his goal.
He basically tied with 2 others for third. So really he tied for 5th place. Coming off the narrow win he had in Iowa, I’d say cruz if finished and should follow crispies lead.
Just like clockwork.

Should be interesting, his postmortem on the race and those who dropped out so far.
Hope that some new facts come out like polls.
Yes, you were.

Yeah, Trump only beat him by 62,000 votes.
I think I heard that Cruz spent $18 per vote, while Jeb spent over $1000 per vote! Amazing.
Yeah, those big rallies sure helped Trump beat Cruz in Iowa. Oh, wait...
Don’t think so. NH is his state of least support and SC will most likely end up a battle between Rubio and Trump for second place. Either way, I’m ready for whomever does win to get Obama out of office.
We not in Iowa anymore
So now losing is actually winning. Ah, the age we live in.
Yeah, but those 200 cruzbots were YUUUGE!
Good for “pundits”, I guess? They’re the ones hoping we get another business-as-usual career politician, so it makes sense for them all to bash Trump for coming in GASP second in Iowa but then try to spin ties for fifth as an epic win.
*shrug*
On to South Carolina!
South Carolina is closer to Iowa than it is to New Hampshire in makeup of the electorate. Agree?
Question: with all of the attention on Cruz today, what is the over/under on when Trump says or does something outlandish to get the attention back on himself?
