Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Wise words.

Carson said he was going home, not dropping out, and his campaign clarified multiple times that he was NOT dropping out. The idle speculation of some talking heads was somehow transformed into a announcement by the Cruz campaign that Carson was definitely quitting the race.

"The Cruz campaign acted in good faith with the information they were given by CNN.

Good faith? CNN? I seriously doubt you typed that with a straight face.

Total BS. His campaign crew reported on a strange Ben Carson tweet that appeared, to a reasonable person, to be his pulling out of the race. What dastardly deed did Cruz supposedly commit?

Nice use of Alinsky’s rules for radicals!!!! /s

Do you use them as well on liberals, or just on conservatives?

Again, the Carson campaign clarified, PRIOR to the start of the caucus, that he was NOT dropping out of the race.

They “clarified” after the voting started because EVERYONE knows going home means suspending your campaign.

How many candidates ( Clinton, Sanders, Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, Bush, Christie, Fiorina ) went home this week for a few days R&R?

Stop the silliness.

Whatever it was that the Cruz campaign did, just remember it is so much worse than claiming that someone is ineligible for office when that is not clearly the case. /s

One is malicious while the other is just looking out for the good of the voter!!!!

Does NH not sell clothes???

Lol, the cult is looking desperate, stupid and petty. The trifecta which spells defeat for “the One “.

Not a single Iowa voter has stepped forward to say that they had planned to vote for Carson, but after seeing the flier, switched their vote to Cruz.

Yup, Carson had 10% of the vote in the entrance polls taken before the Cruz “lie” and he finished with the same 10% after the vote was taken.

It was their own ineptness. Now their only asset being his likability is tanking due to their sore loser ways.

Carson is bad on immigration, weak on the 2nd Amendment, weak on pro-life issues, weak on education, budget, deficit, and lots of other stuff. The only reason he has the support he has is because he was viewed as likable. A vote for him probably was wasted. By all means do it if you want to. But blame no one else for releasing plans to not campaign in the next two primary states but rather to go home and change clothes. BREAKING NEWS!!! Hello. It is a campaign. Of course people wonder if he is quitting. He owes it to his supporters to either be serious or to drop out.

I am beginning to wonder why people like Gilmore stay in a race so long (forget Carson for a minute). Is there some financial payoff?

Three candidates DID drop out right before/after IA. Carson probably woulf have too except for the fundraising this has afforded him.

"Does NH not sell clothes??? Lol, the cult is looking desperate, stupid and petty. The trifecta which spells defeat for "the one.""

Yeah, I always just buy new clothes when I'm away from home. /sarc

It doesn't matter why Carson was leaving Iowa. He could have been going to consult with his pet rock for all it matters. The point is that he was not dropping out, his campaign clarified this fact, and the Cruz campaign nonetheless declared the contrary.

"Lol, the cult is looking desperate, stupid and petty. The trifecta which spells defeat for "the One""

Presumably you're referring to Trump. I've enjoyed his anti-media blitz as much as anyone, but I don't support him in particular any more than Cruz or Rubio. Your assumption that someone wouldn't be bothered by this crap pulled in Iowa unless they were a Trump supporter is absurd...And I can't imagine how hard you'd hit the ceiling if Trump pulled a such a stunt.

These Cruzbots are nuts. This is like saying the rape victim or murder victim brought it on themselves. For their so-called conservative values, they sure are a bunch of vile, nasty people.

Dishonorable is dishonorable, regardless of the end result. I was a Cruz supporter before all this, now I bracket him with Rubio.

Hmm, why did his campaign need to issue a “clarification”?

Because every sane person with a brain knows if you are really campaigning for president you don’t go home for a few days between Iowa and NH.

It is not hard really.

IT DOESN'T MATTER. Once Carson said he was staying in, it's a lie to start telling people that he is NOT staying.

The lack of intellectual integrity on display here is amazing. That you are willing to so casually shrug off a dishonorable, underhanded political lie simply because it came from your guy's camp is just plain sad.

I could just wonder what donnie would have said if his campaign was either experienced or could read and would have discovered it first?

He wasn’t and isn’t staying in.

How stupid, anyone who follows politics knows this.

How many candidates in history have gone home between Iowa and NH if they were really still in?

Answer - Zero!!
