Not as important as Tim Scottâs support since Toomeyâs not from an early state, but still significant big-picture. This isnât just a case of Cruz losing out to Rubio on another endorsement among his Senate colleagues, itâs a litmus test of electability â or perceived electability. Why might a Republican from a purple state, whose seat is up this year by the way, prefer Rubio to Cruz or Trump? Hmmm:

Gravey train.
Looks like the GOPe is moving to “tag” its current favorite big-time. I expect further Rubiogasms from the GOPe.
at this point I like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. I could not vote for Marco Rubio based on his immigration stance.
Why would he want the endorsement from a fascist that wants to take away your 2nd Amendment Rights.
I must be mistaken but that's what I thought people here on FR wanted to get rid of!
You're being given the shaft and you don't even realize it!
This Trump campaign is better that having Madame Defarge knitting the names of everyone to be killed in the French revolution! By the end of this, all the GOPee will be outed!
You could argue he endorsed himself, yet your point remains.
I like the way you think. Brilliant post.
I am waiting to hear from senator Sessions and Lee.
Did not Tim Scott endorse Trump?
The feud between Trump and Cruz is taking both of them down. Rubio is standing on the sidelines just watching his opponents destroy each other.
At this point I think this is Rubio’s election to lose. If he keeps his nose clean and doesn’t get involved in petty attacks and cheap shots, I think he will cruise to the nomination.
He’s picking up very important endorsements right now.
I don’t think he is nearly as qualified as some of the other candidates and I think overall he is a bit of a squish, but he is 1000 times better than Hillary or Sanders.
Either Cruz and Trump STHU or Rubio wins by default.
Rubio will get all of the Cartels endorsments.....their future is at stake...
Doesn't matter, because he ain't gonna beat either one.
I realize it. The fact Ted is so hated in the D.C. fishbowl is one of his most endearing qualities for me as I hate all those sell out bastards in the house and senate. The stupid go along do nothings are exactly why we have a muslim burning through executive orders like toilet paper, and an admitted socialist and wannabe socialist waiting in the wings to take his place. The republicans have done nothing but sit on their collective asses, slurping from the same pig trough as those hellacious democrats. They should all rot together.
The only endorsements that matter are those of the voters. Each senator gets only one vote, just like the rest of us.
Me personally? If I could, I would fire all 535 of them!
And start over. They are all in pockets of the ultra-rich donor class. And I am in the middle class. They all have shafted me for decades. Sadly I did not realize this until we elected GOP majority in 2014, and what did they do? Approve Omnibus bill in entirety with everything the community organizer from Chicago wanted.
We could use a Martian invasion right about now....
Sad but true. That is how Romney prevailed. Newt & Rick never gave up.
