Ted Cruz is a “Threat” to the Open Borders Bushies
Red State ^ | November 16, 2015 | Duke Fergus

Posted on 11/16/2015 12:47:18 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

According the Politico, the presidential campaign of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 100% is firing on all cylinders. “He has more cash than any other Republican candidate. He is organized in every county in the first four voting states. And he has served up one strong debate performance after the next.” That, of course, makes him a threat to the Bush/Open Borders wing of the Republican Party.

“He’s the longer-term threat,” said Fergus Cullen, the former chairman of the New Hampshire GOP and a Republican who does not support Cruz. “I suspect once Trump goes down, people like me will have Cruz to deal with.”

That begs the question — Who is Fergus Cullen and what does he represent?

Mr. Cullen is the founder of a group called Americans by Choice — an open borders advocacy group that “makes it easier for the world’s most talented and motivated people to live and work in America.” Mr. Cullen blasted “the motley crew of insular Tea Partiers, Free Staters, birthers, Agenda 21 conspiracy theorists, and borderline anarchists calling themselves Libertarians” who make up the conservative coalition. Not surprisingly, Mr. Cullen hosted a house party so people could mingle with Jeb Bush on his first campaign trip to New Hampshire. It was at his house that Bush has he blasted conservative Senators for efforts to stop funding Obama’s illegal amnesty executive order.

If you can tell a man by his enemies, Sen. Cruz is the clear leader for reforming the country in a positive direction.

You seem like a nice person, I am not so nice, but I am trying my best to be nice. I read your post and looked hard for a single fact to back your assertions. Sadly I could not find one. I have no wish to attack Cruz supporters since Cruz has now joined Trump in saying enforce existing laws. I think Trump is vastly more trust worthy but I am happy Cruz has joined the battle, Cruz is very impressive in his own wright. My first choice is Trump my second choice is Cruz.

Donald Trump clearing the path for Ted Cruz (in some respects) kinda sounds like a divine political miracle ...

Who in their right mind would have predicted Yeb Bush polling at FOUR-Percent 85 days before the Iowa Caucus ...

And that Ted Cruz (the virtual unknown, alleged Tea Party psycho-case) would have received an endorsement (today, 2015-11-16) that even the Washington Post says pretty much wins Iowa for Ted Cruz ?

That political miracle is akin to the American Naval victory at Midway (1942) and/or The LORD opening the Red Sea for Israel.

You're kind to give me your time.

I'm not sure that what you're looking for is proof, since Donald's not offered you or his other followers any but what he does offer is the power of his words.

I'm also sure that Donald is sincere when he says that our immigration laws have been violated and that he would work to get that wall built, the invasion shut down and also do everything within his power to deport those here illegally, regardless of their history.

I, too, would like everything that I just mentioned put into action and blame both parties and presidents of both parties for allowing this to happen to our once great nation! I was calling and harassing my local and state officials when I began noticing my local DMV parking lot looking like Tijauna with the parking at Home Depot resembling the same thing and that was under Pres. Bush! I was also one that fought hard to keep that 2007 Amnesty Bill from becoming law!

I also called Rush on more than one occasion demanding that Mark "open borders" Belling no longer be his guest host, when Belling was preaching open borders when Rush was going after lawmakers in '07 were attempting to ram it down our throats, just to give you a sense of how long I've been in this fight (actually it was long before '07 but this lets you know I do have some "street creds" in our problems with the invasion.

I have researched and checked out Cruz before tossing my hat in his camp but would not work to influence you in the matter as I didn't look to others to help me decide which way to go, I'm going to respect your decision.

Lastly, I will say that I have heard and read some other statements made over the years by Donald that make me less comfortable with him as my candidate, as he's been all over the ball park on a number of serious issues, at least for me as a life long conservative. Recently, I've also been less than pleased at some of his words used against Carson specifically.

Carson's not my guy and I'd not like to see him win the primary as he, too, is less than conservative on many important issues but Donald has spoken in ways that are not that of a candidate I'd like to claim, however, I would vote for him, should he get the nomination.

“Long before Trump was pounding his chest about the borders, Ted Cruz was already in the fight.”

Especially the H1b fight, as in a 500% increase.

Cruz was for gang of 8 amnesty if a pathway to citizenship was denied.

Wrong. Cruz proposed the amendments to the Gang of 8 bill in order to expose the truth that the bill was all about granting citizenship to the illegals, period. He forced them to vote against his amendments and go on record. That exposure was key to the bill losing support in the House.

I agree Trump has had this issue and immigration dangers and costs all to himself. But Cruz being on Trump’s side would be a great and compatible running mate.

Yes! Cruz's running mate is the perfect spot for Trump and would solve a lot of problems. Genius idea, dude.
