There are numerous articles saying that a McCarthy-Ellmers affair was an open secret in Washington. I don't have any connections in Washington, so does anyone know if this is actually true or not?

What a good question. Here is my answer.

They all live in a bubble. They thought they could get away with this. They are detached from reality and they think this little affair was something the everybody does (Boehner included) so, what the heck.
