"Trump's decision to forfeit the Q&A session was motivated by the concern of being 'put on trial,'" the chamber's spokesperson Ammar Campa-Najjar said in a statement, adding that Trump would have been treated "no differently" than other candidates.

Several 2016 presidential hopefuls, including Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Senator Bernie Sanders, an independent seeking the Democratic nomination, have sat for public interviews with the chamber.

Republican Senator Marco Rubio and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner, have committed to appear before the chamber, as a way to make their case before an increasingly influential voting bloc.

Advice to Trump: You will not win by cow-towing to minority groups who want special treatment. Stick to the silent majority of voters. We are the real energized voters of 2016. ANd that includes middle class blacks, legal Hispanics, and others.

Trump should ask...”why is there a US Hispanic Chamber in the 1st place?! Want to discuss racism in America? Let’s start here”!!!

Either they supplied the questions beforehand, or Trump’s research showed that they employ a “gotcha” tactic.

Good for him for not participating in that kind of forum.

Yeah, but I believe he would have better served himself by appearing, unless he felt that he would be physically harmed somehow. This would have been a great opportunity to present his case. If someone disagreed or asked a difficult question, he could just stick to his main point: he loves LEGAL immigrants.

IMHO 2016 is too late. Didn't you hear the am talkers spewing about 2012 was the "last chance" and we bet on Mittens, the creator of Obamacare.

Below is what Obie and his ilk are banking on and the GOPE has no clue the sh$t storm that is coming their way.

Illegal Immigrants Could Elect Hillary

At least Trump has enough sense to not walk into a full on ambush.

The only people who have a problem with him not attending are the ones who benefit from an ambush, and the ones who set it up.

If you observe the destruction in the country and chaos in the Muslim middle-east, since 2012, it is obvious 2012 was an extremely critical year.

However Romney failed to energize many middle class voters.
2016 is turning out much different with Trump in the race.

Is Trump having a problem getting his message out? Not in the least. He is on every TV station, and on radio interviews. He is doing just fine without pandering to special interest group like Laraza.

“adding that Trump would have been treated “no differently” than other candidates.”

Sure.

I believe that.

*** I believe he would have better served himself by appearing, unless he felt that he would be physically harmed somehow. ***

Hope Hicks, trump campaign spokesperson:
Mr. Palomarez (President of the USHCC) continues to leverage the national media attention surrounding Mr. Trump to benefit his organization and exploit Mr. Trump to enlist additional support and increase interest and revenue in his coalition including asking Mr. Trump to join his chamber for a fee amounting to between $25,000 and $2 million dollars, which Mr. Trump refused to do.

Mr. Trump remains committed to reaching out to the Hispanic Community in more genuine and productive ways as he continues to share his vision to Make America Great Again,” said Hicks.

Advice to Trump: You will not win by cow-towing to minority groups who want special treatment.

You won't win by running away from them either. If both Cruz and Rubio can appear then Trump could have as well. After all, he's told us that the Hispanics all love him and he's going to take most of the Hispanic vote.

This is a pro-ILLEGAL immigration group.

They're goal was to destroy Trump and no one else.

We can be sure that Trump had someone check out the event carefully (and invisibly), otherwise he would have pulled out earlier.

Why the hell would he speak to a group that was trying to strong arm him into donating big bucks to them? He’s a savvy businessman.

Because he said he would. Now it looks like he's chickening out.

That would be fine if they didn't love illegal immigrants.

“That would be fine if they didn’t love illegal immigrants.”

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Which is true and fine for them. Trump appearing there would not be to win them over. It would be about not looking looking afraid, and being able to speak his mind in ANY forum.

Bowing out could make him look like he’s somehow afraid, or that he has something to hide.
