If Cruz wants the nomination, he needs to convince voters, not the career politicians to get him over the finish line. Horrible strategy but then again it might just be a hit piece from the media.

Exactly where the focus should be.

It's not ok to vote Trump under any circumstances.

Open primaries appear to me to benefit those engaged in election fraud, regardless of party but usually democrats.

not sure I buy this strategy

In the end, only delegate count matters. The tricky part is that if you don't show up big in Iowa, New Hampshire, or South Carolina, will you have the money and grassroots enthusiasm to make the big delegate push on March 1?

Wow, almost fifty replies and no Cruz bad rapping from trumpets.

If it were reversed there would be 3-4 replies before number 10 vying for in before NC etc.

Telling.

In the end, only delegate count matters.

Technically, that is correct - but practically, that is most incorrect. For the majority of delegates, they will follow voting results. There is no way to win a delegate race without winning the voter race.

I have always thought third party was a big mistake in the past, but as circumstances change, I am now thinking that it is not such a nutjob idea.
I’ve repeated many times that if Cruz is not on the ballot, I shall write in his name, but all things considered, I, now, would not hesitate to vote if he decides to go third party.

If I have this right, Cruz, who is currently in the 6% range in the republican primary process, has a good chance to get the most votes in a general three way?

Or would your write in be more for a statement against the PTB?

And, if so, that would advance your political views how, exactly?

Just wonderin' and all.

Teddy Roosevelt - The Progressive Party.

The other four who ran third party all lost.

Circumstances have changed dramatically, though. I always thought it would be foolish, but I have changed my mind.

The write in would be a statement, you are right.

And in doing so, hopefully if others follow, it will advance my political views.

I am kind of an optimist. Sometimes it works out well.
Thanks for asking.

I don’t know much about running for political office except that it apparently requires a boat load of money. That’s why I contribute to Sen. Cruz.
