Donald Trump just issued a 'scathing' multimillion-dollar legal threat to a conservative group

The release — titled "Donald J. Trump Sends Club for Growth Scathing Cease and Desist Letter Regarding Recent 'Attack Ads'" — repeatedly bashed the Club for Growth, with whom Trump has constantly feuded during his campaign.

"I am not surprised the dishonest, irrelevant and totally failing Club for Growth has resorted to attacking the definitive front-runner, especially after I refused to contribute to their pathetic group," Trump said in a statement.

In the cease-and-desist letter to Club for Growth President David McIntosh, Trump lawyer Alan Garten similarly tore into the "pitiful little group" while promising a devastating lawsuit should the group not immediately pull its attack ads against Trump.

I really don’t understand the whole “thin skin” thing when we’re dealing with a candidate fighting back against liars and scoundrels. From your logic, it must be that anyone who fights back against the RINOs or Libs has “thin skin.”

More than likely, however, you’re just an amnesty kind of guy anyhow. Who are you voting for? I can guarantee they support mass legalization of illegal aliens. Why? Because every candidate but Trump supports that, except maybe Santorum, but nobody knows he’s even running.

So what no comment about the other candidates thin skin, or is it OK cause they just directed their ire towards Trump? Trump is just being Trump, someone pushes him he pushes back, hard. After Lord Foul, I wouldn’t have a problem with someone in the White House willing to tell our enemies F’ off or we’ll kick their asses instead of get on his knees and begging forgiveness for America being great.

BS. They’re clearing the path for Jeb Bush. If Cruz was standing in Jeb’s way, they would be doing the same thing to him. Wise up.

True conservatism is 180 degrees out of phase with global corporatism that promotes abandoning the Constitution, loss of sovereignty and open borders.

The word ‘Conservative’ has been hijacked by monied interest, it means nothing.

Yap, when Rubio talks about him being the real conservative, I have to make sure I do not have a mouthful of food at that instant.

“Donald Trump just issued a ‘scathing’ multimillion-dollar legal threat to a conservative group”

The article only mentions the “Club for Growth” which seems to have a problem with Trump being against Open Borders and therefore is no more conservative than Rubio.

So, does anyone know which “conservative group” the headline might be referring to? The article doesn’t appear to mention any.

“Asking for donations, being denied, and then running ads against that candidate looks like extortion to me.”

Exactly. Sounds like what the mob did.

Only a simpleton would believe anything Trump or his lawyers say. The CFG wouldn’t endorse Trump because he didn’t meet standards.

The Club for Growth has been a net positive since its founding and the ignorant yahoos criticizing it on FR don’t have a clue.

If you click on the article link, you will see the following. I can not post entire article. Only an excerpt is allowed.

Real-estate tycoon Donald Trump accused the conservative Club for Growth group of "libel" in a letter that a Trump aide sent to reporters on Tuesday.

The Club for Growth announced last week that it was investing more than $1 million behind two attack ads against Trump, one of which accuses the Republican front-runner of wanting to hike taxes.

here is the background behind the club for growth attacks - trump met with gfg, they asked for $1 mil "donation", trump refused.

it's all a shake down by club for growth.

I am firmly in the social conservative group. Fiscal “conservatives” have and do screw us anytime it benefits them.

Extortion isn’t a case??

Unless he has them on tape or in writing saying "Unless you give us a million dollars, we will run a million dollars of ads against you", he doesn't have a case for extortion. As of now, all you have is his word that they even asked him for any money.

Why don’t “club for GROWTH” spend their million dollars on promoting “growth” instead of attacking candidate Trump? Do they specialize in negative attacks? How does that promote growth of anything?

The Hair Club For Men™? Hair club for growing hair like Biden

Funny

OK, this is the GOPe sneek attack, first they got Trump to commit not to run 3rd party, then they try and character assinate him. These ads are surely not Reaganesque , they are Obama-esque, like calling Romney a Vulture, and Vampire.

I hope he sues them, just to make them spend lots of money.

Norquist is a F ing lobbiest scum.

Longbow, I think you’ve become too used to the weak GOPe members who’ve not served us for too long.
We FINALLY, have someone whose not afraid to stand up for what he believes. If you’ve read any of his books, and if you’re really a conservative, you’ll see what he’s in this race for.
