You are quite right. Trump will not only get many more republican voters who have slept through Dole-McCain-Romney runs, Trump will surprise people with many votes from democrats. My own sister has voted democrat for decades, and was going to vote for Hillary, until Trump appeared on the scene. I almost fell off the chair when she said that.
Well, some of mine did too. My great grandmother was an Indian. We thought for the longest that she was a Cherokee but someone told me a few months ago that she was Chickasaw. All we know for sure is that her kids were offered land in Indian Territory but none took up the offer. Most lived in MS except for one who lived in AR. I knew my grandmother’s siblings except for one who died before I was born. I have a photo of the family when they were young. Then we all have photos of my grandmother and my mom and siblings. All are gone now and it’s no fun being the older generation! My mom died in 2007 a few months before she was 103. Her last cousin died a few months ago at the age of 109. Very wonderful Christian ladies. We miss them.
Have several Obama voters in my extended family that have said they are on the Trump Train.

What a stupid article by Politico - I’m sure there are some here who will jump on the same bandwagon and never grasp the irony that anyone running for office can be accused of the same “It’s all about me” meme. No ego = no will to fight in the trenches and Trump has a lot more humility than many of the choices we have and have had.
Boonie, your ancestors learned scalping from the English. The English, in the beginning, paid $??? for each Indian scalp brought to them. We fought among our selves, but didn’t scalp, because the brave would not enter the happy hunting grounds if he did it to the enemy.

Some western tribes scalped even before that. It was an honor to bring a child or a woman’s scalp for it showed that the warrior had entered into the very heart of the enemies territory...

His running for President will be GOOD FOR AMERICA, I believe.
It may even shake some of our PC Western Civilization FRiends up also. Europe is having far more troubles with immigrants than we are — in fact, IMHO, the troubles in Europe are but a harbinger of the future of the Western World.
If we lose this battle, Western Civilization, as we know it will probably become extinct, and the entire world will descend into third world anarchy.
