Someone posted in another thread that due to some court ruling dual citizenship is allowed now. It doesn’t make sense to me that one could pledge allegiance to two countries.

I don’t see how a Court ruling can supersede a plain text Pledge for naturalization.
If the Court ruled against the pledge then it wouldn’t still contain the wording.
Besides, Congress has the exclusive power to control and enact requirements on naturalization.
Oh heck, I keep forgetting the Constitution is a living document. My bad.
