I love Cruz.

But I’m almost thinking that he should, ahem, do a deal with Donald...obviously in compliance with all laws...but still...he should do a deal.

He should endorse Trump, and want 8 years. I don’t think Trump voters would forget.

He should maximize his chances of being President. and right now, the best thing to do looks like him getting on the Trump express.

I would not have thought that two weeks ago....

At the time of Republican convention and Trump needs a push over the top(maybe). Cruz has the power to make it happen with his people(delegates).

Of course we all enjoy speculating... I think the important event when occur when the GOPe makes a deal.
They surely will but I don’t see, at this time, what they can get from a candidate that won’t make him unelectable.

I agree with you. Ted Cruz will be very useful, along with Jeff Sessions and just a small handful of other US Senators who are going to have to clean out the US Senate. Until Cruz amasses some accomplishments there, he's not going to get enough dissatisfieds to vote Republican.

Do you really think it would be eight years? I could see Trump cleaning up the mess then going back to his business empire. He'll be in his mid-70s after one term.
