it’s noteworthy that in every scenario, Trump destroys the current GOP-e leadership; ergo, anyone who wants to see conservatism succeed must support Trump in at least the short term. If Trump manages to become President and betrays conservatives, he will not last long; Leftists would despise him for sabotaging the anointed candidates, Hitlery and Sanders.

Exactly right.

Things could get much worse with Jeb Bush or some other chump presiding as president, like Biden or John Kerry.

I think Trump has at least as good sense as anyone running, frankly. He is just unknown to our trust meter. The ones we trust may not rise to the occasion and inspire a victory. Minorities are going to get courted by Trump sooner or later and chances are it will be there first view of inspiration (since Reagan) from our side of the aisle.

I think he may bring them along in a way that no other candidate can.
