Imagine if only 10 million would send a few bucks here and there - but alas, just as we have on FR, the public consists of a lot who like to carp but who won't donate a dime no matter the cause. I've been insulting a few recently because I get sick and tired of folks who will tell us all the reasons we need to worry about this candidate or that candidate, but then claim that nobody has appeared that "deserves their backing and financial support" - welfare babies each and every one and they haven't a clue that it's true.
Green eyed jealousy. If those $15 Million had gone to Hitlery it would have been joto; a little Japanese lingo there.
Or a newly discovered complication of schizzophrenia or bi-polar; Hrafnkell Haraldsson syndrome.
Well you can’t argue with the guy about one thing.
Hillary is getting small donations.
One baby liver at a time.
Jackson / Marshall here.
Didn't Charvel and Jackson used to be linked somehow?
I've a vague memory of "Charvel-Jackson" as being a thing.
Yup. Still are but now Fender owns them.
IIRC Grover Jackson did the Super Strats and pointy guitars and Wayne Charvel did the regular hot rodded Strat types until Jackson bought him out. I have a Charvel Model 5FX (Basically a Japan Soloist) and a Jackson Dinky.
I was a Marshall guy too. These days my ‘amp’ is a Boss GT Pro through a Mackie. I miss mt Marshall but I can make anything sound like crap. It’s a gift ;)
Faced with circumstance, I can always drag out the Jackson and the Marshall.
Adapt, Improvise, Overcome....
My setup is more synth geared. I still play guitar a little but it’s a nerve thing. Fingers don’t move too freely anymore so I went to keys and programming.
Roland Integra 7 and a Yamaha TX81Z rack synths into a Mackie 1604 and Yamaha HS5 speakers with a sub. Then to/from the computer.
I always likes Boss/Roland gear because it was simple and works all the time. Might not be botique tone quest cork sniffer quality but it works for me. Worked for pretty much everyone in the last 30 years with a record too ;)
I started on Bass with a Fender Squire. I’m too white for bass though. I haZ no funk. Went to a Les Paul Firebrand and a Marshall, sold it when the kid arrived, had my midlife crisis back around 2001. Rebought a Marshall and the Jackson and then built up from there.
I have a cool little Midi setup. Won’t win any awards or measuring contests but it makes me happy.
