Via the Weekly Standard, where were you the day Hillarys campaign imploded?
No, I kid. Drudge was pushing this earlier because the idea of lefty infighting over whether their nominee-in-waiting is a racist or not is simply delicious. Spoiler: She is racist, or at least the left used to think so. (A few of them still do.) Now that their hold on power depends upon her being absolved, though, absolution is freely granted via the memory hole. Shell be given a pass on this partly for that reason and partly because her admission about fear of black men in hoodies advances the argument that white America is racist to its core, even within the beacon of towering moral righteousness that is the bien-pensant left. Its acceptable for a white pol a white Democratic pol, I should say to implicitly confess to racism so long as its offered in an indictment of white racism more broadly. I cant find a fuller video of what she said today but Tom Elliott notes that she used the same line in a speech on June 20th:
And our problem is not all kooks and klanssmen. Its also the cruel joke that goes unchallenged. Its the offhand comment about not wanting Those people in the neighborhood. Lets be honest. For a lot of well-meaning open-minded white people, the sight of a young black man in a hoodie still evokes a twinge of fear. And news reports about poverty and crime and discrimination evoke sympathy, even empathy. But too rarely do they spur us to action or prompt us to question our own assumptions and privilege. We cant hide from any of these hard truths about race and justice in America. We have to name them and own them and then change them.
Im curious now to see how shed respond if a reporter decided to press her on the implications of that statement. When was the last time Hillary personally felt a twinge of fear upon encountering a, shall we say, demographic outlier on the streets of Chappaqua? Oh no, Im sure shed reply. I meant other well-meaning open-minded white people would feel that way.
Heres the clip, followed by a clip of Jeb Bush rolling his eyes at the fact that Martin OMalley felt compelled by the vanguard of leftist identity politics to apologize for saying all lives matter instead of black lives matter. You can sort of understand why they insist on the latter: The idea is that black lives are treated more cheaply than others, especially by cops, therefore the fact that they matter needs to be emphasized, not just assumed under the umbrella of all lives matter. You can also understand, though, why it would seem insane to an average voter whos not current on the latest liberal sloganeering to read a headline like, Democrat sorry for saying all lives matter.' If Republicans insisted on something like that (imagine a social conservative being pilloried for saying all lives matter when discussing abortion instead of unborn lives matter), the media would piss itself with laughter at what an unforced communications disaster that was by the right. As it is, they couldnt be more solemn in relaying the critiques of OMalley. Keep circulating this Jeb Bush clip, progressives. Its truly devastating.

Fear no. Up my alert level, probably. Depends how old and big the “kid” is.
Common sense was what average folks called it.
Hi friend i have some rohipnol for you.
Welllll, it was .... and very, very, very dry, and very arch, and very New York-standoffish. Almost satanic, in the way described in an encyclical by John Paul II.
But it was funny.
And way off Broadway.
No, that is situational awareness.
Yes i would agree too.
He’s OK as long as you’re not female.
NYT's HERBERT (12/12/93):
Jesse Jackson is traveling the country with a tough anti-crime message that he is delivering to inner-city youngsters. In Chicago he said,"There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved."
Sort of like Robert Byrd in the well of the senate saying, “There are white ......., and....there are black ..........
Dems always get a pass on their racism.

Back when I was on the road when stopping at gas stations at night if 3 or more people were lingering around the front door, I went to the next place.
And it didn’t/doesn’t matter if they be Black, White, Spanish, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Muslim (you get the point), I would just move on.
Oh yes, I was armed..didn’t matter what state etc, I stayed armed.
Isn’t a hoodie and pants at half mast a micro-aggression? Don’t people need a safe place in those situations? Why doesn’t Hillary do a social experiment and venture off by herself into one of those no-go zones and then tell us how she liked that experience.
LOL...one of the best lessons in life came courtesy of my First Sergeant when I commanded a battery at Fort Bliss. This man was like SGT Rock, 6'4", 210 lbs, negative body fat.
I never considered myself an imposing physical specimen at just a shade under 6 feet and 180 lbs, but several months into my command, he remarked to me, "Sir, there are times when you scare the hell out of me. I can see it coming, your eyes get real small, like a rattlesnake's before it strikes."
"When that happens, I tell everyone to stay the hell away from the Old Man."
That technique has been very effective for me over the last 30 years...lol.
She makes me ill. She would say or do anything she thought might help her become President. Incidentally, what ‘actions’ did she or her husband do that substantially helped decrease inner city crime or helped minorities in a sustainable and real way?
What a coincidence, I feel a twinge of fear at the sight of a democrat in a pink pantsuit...
Well, she’s done now...you can’t say that about Obama’s sons...
Jessie Jackson said the very same words.
The Reverend Jackson, too.
FUHillaryousRottenCriminal you POS. INDIVIDUALS can wear whatever they want you IGNORANT A_ _ _ _ _ _
Why does anyone wear a hoodie in summertime?
Well, people who don’t profile their surroundings are what we call “dead victims”. Depending on the location and circumstances, yeah, a face covering hoodie wearing stranger closing in on your position may be indicative of a personal threat.
Doesn’t matter what color they are, you clear for action if you catch it before they approach you.
