Would it be fair to say you were also “concerned” about Ronald Reagan’s past record as a registered democrat? How about Reagan’s past record being a union activist?
Trump has been a private citizen so far. He could support any politician to grease the skids of his highly successful business. He was never a republican official. Therefore he was free to donate to whichever politician to prevent attacks on his business interests. What would be Trump’s purpose at this stage in his life (nearing age 70) to obfuscate his real intentions? Is it possible he sees where the country is going and wants to change the direction? May be that is the legacy he wants to leave behind.

When it came time to vote for Reagan (which I did with great pride), I was too young to consider his Democrat Record.
I was fresh out of the DemocRAT Brainwashing Institution known as the Public School System, and only about 2 years into the military.
So at that time, my analysis skills weren't that deep.
Now about Trump: he's a Chief Executive Officer.
You don't get there without acquiring great manipulative skills.
And maybe it's just another "DEAL" to increase his personal profits.
Where has most of his money gone to, when it comes to donations to politicians; to DemocRATS, or to Republicans ?
He probably DOES SEE where the country has gone, and it's possible he's had a "CHANGE OF HEART".
BUT ... DO YOU ... TRUST HIM ?
I DON'T !
