He IS the top tier, as far as I am concerned.
Trump is gaining my respect by not backing down.

Never voting for any amnesty candidate so that leaves out most everyone else.

He might have broken out last month had he not voted for Obama’s trade bill though he did reverse himself “I voted for it before I voted against it.” Still, he is my No. 1 choice. And I have no No. 2 choice yet.

Inexplicably, Bush3 is in the lead:

sees Cruz tacking right for political purposes

He's always been on the right. No tacking.

I dearly hope this was Trump’s plan. Exposé the GOPe and leave our man Cruz standing at the head of the pack. I posted a month ago, “ Trump can introduce Cruz as ‘the man I hired to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

They could just damn well pull it off. God Bless them.

Cruz is a wise guy, ha, ha! Very wise! A consummate chess player. He knows when and how to make his moves and CNN could never reach high enough to carry his chess board for him let alone tell him how to move his king. But they are correct to worry. He is almost the total antithesis of what they stand for.

Ted is the only one who is solid across the wide spectrum of conservative issues. Not perfect, but awfully close. And you know he isn’t going to go off reservation like Trump eventually will, a busload of naive going screaming over a cliff.

Which isn’t to say I don’t like Trump, or Walker, or even Jindal and sometimes Fiorina. But Ted is awfully damn solid.

I'm for Ted Cruz BECAUSE I believe what he says, and believe when he says why he did what he did,

versus:

“though he did reverse himself “I voted for it before I voted against it.”

and

“he switched positions and I was relieved”

Please, somebody explain to me why ANYONE would vote for somebody when they don't believe in what he says, or believe him when he says why he did what he did? Ted said what he did, why he did it, not reversing or switching, and that works for me.

I’m for Cruz, and have shown my support by donating to his campaign.

Anyone else?

If you’re for Cruz, put your money where your mouth is.

Let’s play this out. IMHO Walker wins Iowa. 4-5 candidates are in a close pack for 2nd. Hopefully Cruz does well. Jeb gets crushed. Jeb is shocked when he doesn’t win NH. Maybe Walker, Rubio, and a long shot-Carson, Paul, or Trump take Gold, Silver, and Bronze in NH. South Carolina gives Walker, Cruz and Rubio a little more of a lead. It gets rid of a ton of candidates-Christie, Jindal, Perry, Huckabee, Pataki, etc...are done. I think after South Carolina it will be down to Walker in first, Rubio and Cruz in 2nd or 3rd, and Jeb in 4th because he has money to last. Trump may keep going for his ego. I think Walker wins and he looks for a VP like Rubio to carry Florida and help mitigate Hispanic vote (imagine flipping Wisconsin and Florida) or Kasich to solidify Ohio. Maybe it’s Walker Sandoval making Midwest and Southwest with a bunch of little flips like Nevada and New Mexico. I think it’s Walker/Rubio myself. Maybe Cruz goes to SCOTUS which would be awesome and he can do more good for a lot longer.especially if he takes Ginsburg’s spot. Just my thoughts to get a conversation going.

If he doesn’t, it just proves the average GOP Primary Voter is as dumb as a Box of Barbara Boxers.

I am supporting Cruz and Walker. I believe these are the two best candidates who can win in 2016.

CNN is concerned.

Good. I'm sure he is working hard behind the scenes to ensure he doesn't do the "flash-in-the-pan" bit and would not be surprised to see him in a slow and deliberate climb until, next June, he is poised to do a Reagan come November elections....

“He has become the most vocal defender of Donald Trump, the flamboyant businessman...”

He’s not flamboyant. He doesn’t have gray hair and he doesn’t do cocaine (as far as I know).
