disgraced, defeated, and offensive
Defeated, yes, disgraced and offensive no.
How do you feel about our national flag now,
cause someday they’ll come after it and you too.
I fly the stars and bars in my home because I
won’t be dictated to and to honor those who died
under it, the same for the Marine Corps flag under
which I proudly served.
Here, here!
“I fly the stars and bars in my home because I
wont be dictated to and to honor those who died
under it, the same for the Marine Corps flag under
which I proudly served.”
Ditto and I’m sick of hearing the negative BS about the Stars and Bars. We fly it proudly. Its got zero to do with Blacks. I’m sick of 13% of the population dictating what I will or won’t think, say or do. We will be proudly flying the flag on July4th right next to our Gadsen Flag.
Then there’s the Delaware state flag, which shows a militiaman and a farmer on opposite sides.
Lots of PC targets out there.
Some folks just don’t seem to understand that if
they can do this with the Stars and Bars they can
and will do it with Old Glory. The constant revision
of history for political gains is eating away at our
nation like termites.
“If Jeb gets the nomination, IM NOT VOTING. Ill stay home.”
Same here, Dino. The GOP-e scolds can KMA.
One day they will come for the Stars and Stripes or anything else, flag or symbol or whatever that is classified as racist or hateful at the moment......
If we’re lucky we’ll be left with state flags depicting gay couples picking flowers.
The Confederate flag has never been about Racism
The Confederate Flag is actually the Battle Flag of the Confederate States of America, it is an adaptation of the cross of St Andrews, which was utilized after the First Battle of Bull Run (First Battle of Mannass for those from the south) July 21, 1861. It was decided upon by General Beauregrad to utilize the Cross of St. Andrews as the Battle Flag of the CSA, to differentiate from the United States Flag. (The USA was Stars and Stripes) Cross of st. Andrews is the National Flag of Scotland and revered by Scots and those of the Celtic faith (Irish)
The issue of slavery is based on revisionist history. US Grant kept his slaves in spite of the Emanicipation Proclamation of 1863. during the Civil War there were 300,000 Union slaveholders in the Union Army. The slaves that were brought to USA beginning in 1620 were brought under flags of many countries and that slavery existed for 224 years in what now makes up he USA (America became a nation in 1776) - The Flags of the Muslim nations is the one whereby the slaves were captured and sold into slavery. The British Flag that transported 5 million blacks and sold them into slavery throughout the entire world. what about the flags of the nations of the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain which dealt in slavery. Does anyone really realize that the slaves that were sold in the US were delivered to ports of the northern colonies and were sold under the Stars and stripes banner of the British Empire. It was not until 1831 did Great Britain outlaw the issue of slavery.
If you want to pursue racist by a flag than scream that the British Flag is rascist.
The Confederate Flag did no have anything to do with racism. If you wish to say it is based in racism than the Scottish Soldiers whom have the banner of the Cross of St. Andrews would be racist too. Are the Scots and Irish racist.
The state GOP-E here in South Carolina will sell out so fast it won’t be funny.
If people start letting hate groups or anyone else tell individual states what flags to fly, then they won’t hesitate to come after any state’s flag, either. It is up to each state whether they want to fly the stars and bars, the hammer and sickle, or any other flag-not anyone else. And if Jeb Bush wants to be a wuss about that flag, like he is about every thing that requires a backbone, then let him-he’s already proven he is not vote worthy...
In your honor we will be flying the Stars and Bars for our fourth of July BBQ. Come on down and have a cold one with us. Touch our flag and you will be lucky to get home.
Cruz gave the right answer in saying its a local decision without taking a position against it flying like Romney and Jeb Bush did.
The local people are under pressure from the mob at this point in SC.
A protest mob has gathered as I post this in Columbia, SC at the site of the flag......
I have no problem with it flying away from the State Capitol like it does now, but if SC wants to put it in a museum that’s fine with me, too.
You got that right Bubba. :-)
“I’m always surprised at the idiotic stances and excuses people make to fly the disgraced, defeated, and offensive confederate flag”
You seriously need to unwad your panties.
Hadn’t noticed the Pioneer with the long gun, looks like Moses about to cross the Red Sea.
Like a Bible. A cross. Holy Communion. Traditional marriage...
