Now it’s going to be a water desert.
Just what exactly is wrong with having private utility companies?
We have private electric companies, private gas companies, private trash-collectors, and private phone companies.
Why not privatise water? (I’m not a libertarian, but it does sound like a decent idea)
fourteen percent of the population. You’d think it was 60 the way they dominate the news. And always in a bad way.
But they vote. that’s their job. One day every four years. Can’t beat it.
And they are overriding our votes to get FREE STUFF!
It is complete and utter insanity.
More businesses will have to post “Facilities for paying customers” signs and enforcing them to keep themselves “afloat” when the riff-raff comes in for a “sits bath”.
Here’s an idea. Give each of these 25,000 households a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. In fact, even emboss them with the CBC logo.
When they need water, the nearest source is the Inner Harbor. Go get some. Strain it, boil it, BINGO! Clean free water.
That's $1600 per customer. That's a lot of months behind in their bills.
