These guys miss the point. The point is they are claiming the government has the right to pass “secret” legislation whose contents are not revealed to the American. There is no place for “secret” legislation in this country.
If it is so good, make it public. If they are willing to do that, screw them all.

The TPA requires the opposite of secret. That bill requires a publishing of the Trade agreements for 60 days before they can come up for vote. Among other things, a good reason to support TPA.

Thus this is NOT a giving of power to the President but a way to keep him in check. The TPA REQUIRES that once an agreement is negotiated (the TPP) It MUST be put out to the public and the peoples representatives for at least 60 days to even be legal. Once all the representatives and people who want to read it all, it can be voted on. Up or down..
