No, but I would assume that you where able to at least read the contract that you signed before you signed it.
In this instance we can certainly wait until Obama is out of office before we sign on to another one of his crappy ideas. He is gone in 18 months. The Pacific Rim will still be there when he is gone and they will still want more access to our markets. Call it a delayed exit program.
Besides, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the only winners in the last several free trade agreements are large muli national corporations and the corrupt poverty stricken countries we enter into agreements with. It also is no secret that the big losers are middle class and lower skilled workers who are driven out of their jobs because more and more manufacturing is off shored to the lowest wage countries.
Besides, the Republicans should be doing NOTHING to aid in any of Obama’s objectives. If he wants it, that is reason enough to be against it.
THEN WHY DOES THE LEFT-WING OF HIS PARTY NOT WANT IT?!
....”we can certainly wait until Obama is out of office before we sign on to another one of his crappy ideas”....
TPP won’t even be implemented until he’s out of office....it has many hoops to go thru......and remember that with TPA...it was Reid who killed that in the first place in 2009.
I agree. I still like Ted Cruz but I think he is wrong on this issue. There is nothing so urgent here that it won’t wait until we get a president who actually likes America. If Congress really wants to do something constructive on trade, they should work on identifying and punishing the countries who are cheating on our existing trade agreements.
