Democrats root for Ted Cruz to win Republican nomination (Supposedly fear Jeb Bush)

Democrats hope for Ted Cruz, but fear Jeb Bush.

The Hill surveyed Democratic lawmakers, former members and strategists, and found they are rooting for Cruz to win the Republican presidential nomination. Jeb Bush, meanwhile, is the 2016 candidate Democrats fear the most. Why Cruz? Democrats think the Texas senator, a conservative firebrand, would alienate independent voters, propel liberals to the polls and give their party the best shot at picking up congressional seats in next year’s election. Bush, meanwhile, would be a tougher opponent since he is a former governor from a political dynasty who can raise hundreds of millions of dollars and appeal more strongly to women and independent voters.

I’m listening: Hillary Clinton is bringing what the New York Times calls a wonkish intensity to her campaign events as she gets re-involved in domestic politics after her stint as secretary of state. Clinton, the frontrunner for the Democrats’ presidential nomination, is clearly most comfortable devising and thinking about policy, and that has given her a way to interact with voters. The Times writes there isn’t a lot of I-feel-your-pain hugging at campaign events, but the former first lady arrives at roundtables armed with specific data points.

Excited about Sanders: Meet the people who believe Bernie Sanders can save America....

The DNC wants Jeb because he is stupid and flip flops like a fish out of water.

Democrats hope for Ted Cruz, but fear Jeb Bush.

In the spirit of bipartisanship and reaching across the aisle, I say we give them what they want.

After all we were mean spirited in 2012, when we gave them the candidate they feared - Mitt Romney.

Reverse psychology.

More transparent than flawless glass, too.

I have to think that we are entering a new era of political recognition.

Legacy media outlets like NTY-Post-CBS-NBC matter less and less.

Websites like FR, certain cable TV shows, Facebook and Twitter matter more.

Who cares what the NYT is promoting lately?

Ah HA-HA-HA-HA-HA
HE-HE-HE-HE-HE-HE-HE

That the funniest LIE I've read in a very long time.
Another D.C. RAG trying to sell an"ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICAN", that will continue to FINANCE EVERYTHING the DemocRATS want.

They must really think that we're a bunch of mind-numbed robots !

It is a trend close to the primaries for democrats and their media to tell us who they "fear" the most. If Lincoln Chafee was running as a republican, he would have been the one they "feared" the most.

The RNC wants Jeb because he is stupid and flip flops like a fish out of water.

He’s their designated loser for this election.

Exactly — I’ve been calling it “briar patch politics” for years.

I think they better get busy fearing Ted Cruz. Jeb Bush is milk toast, Ted Cruz is fire in the belly, get ‘er done and to hell with doubters.

I talked to a couple of young college aged men who approached me today about Cruz after seeing my “Cruz 2016” T shirt. They both said that they were voting for Cruz and that they frequented political blogs a lot. They said Cruz has a lot of support among Democrats who really liked his stand on the issues. Both of these young men said they were Christians.

They don't fear Jeb Bush.

But they don't fear Ted Cruz either.

The candidate they do fear would be one they aren't mentioning (why give publicity to somebody they hope would just disappear?).

Morry Taylor. And don't count Bob Dornan out yet.

Seriously, though, maybe Scott Walker. I haven't heard anything about him lately.
