This author insists that The Tea Party is destructive and self-destructive because… well, because someone who had nothing to do with The Tea Party shot representative Giffords and Thomas Jefferson was somehow unsatisfactory to the author as president. If that is not clear enough Jefferson's "intentions" (NB not his principles as a founding father) have obsessed The Tea Party. For good measure Ronald Reagan's name is invoked to seal the verdict.

It is pointless to wade through example after example of misconstrued history and inverted political science to criticize this author. The article is a distortion of reality and it is pointless to analyze the absurd.

The Tea Party remains one of the last pillars of hope for the survival of the Republic. Barack Obama and his henchmen in the Democrat party have usurped the liberties of Americans, wrenched our governance away from the Constitution, and divided the nation on the basis of race, class, and faction. He has committed the very sins which the headline of this piece slanders The Tea Party with.

The Tea Party seeks to restore fiscal prudence to the American balance sheet out of fear that the policies of Barack Obama are, wittingly or unwittingly, driving the finest economy in the world to destruction. That is not paranoia but prudential husbandry.

The left is trying to rule not "or ruin" but rule and ruin to open the way for the ultimate transformation of America. The Tea Party stands stubbornly in the path.

It’s impossible to take over the GOP, when the GOP works with RATS
to pass unpopular bills.

Impossible.

Wow.

This article attempts to describe Gifford's shooter, Jared Laughner, as following Sarah Palin's and the tea party's orders.

But in reality Laughner was a liberal leftist progressive.

Loughner's anger would also "well up at the sight of President George W. Bush..."

In his "Final Thoughts" video, Loughner stated, "No, I won't trust in God!." He has been described as an atheist and as particularly critical of Christians.

A former classmate describe Laughner as "left wing, quite liberal," "radical."

So, this article is typical of the msm.

The MSM is generally evil and wicked, they fit this description perfectly:

Romans 1:.. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Proverbs 6:16-19 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Professor David Sehat

Somebody's last named is spelled wrong. The 'e' shouldn't be there, and you need an 'a' and one more 's.'

“But with the Tea Party revolution, the rhetoric became harder to control. The conservative base had slipped its leash”

Interesting. This presupposes that the GOP has a natural right to keep conservatives on a leash, like a dog, or an organ grinder monkey.
Maybe the GOP has slipped IT’S leash and is resisting being brought to heel.

Do we serve the party? Or is the party properly intended to serve its members?

“The new Tea Party activists,,,,,had begun speaking of revolution in sometimes the most literal sense.”

As opposed to the rhetoric of the Obama, the revolutionary socialist? Mr “Fundamentally change America”,,, Mr “bitter clingers”,,

As opposed to THAT?

They fear the Tea Party. They fear Sarah Palin. Anyone who they venomously attack is usually good for America. The Media sickens me as to how communist they are. No morals or ethics anymore.

“Though establishment politicians had used similar revolutionary rhetoric often enough—since at least the time of Ronald Reagan”

He’s got it bass ackwards. Ronald Reagan was probably the last President to use “revolutionary rhetoric”

Ah, Salon, always looking to set the Republican party on the right path. What would we do without them?

The author is painfully ignorant or deliberately mendacious or both concerning the Giffords shooting. His dismay at the lack of effect of a blame-the-right campaign is only the warbling of a disappointed liar.
