Massachusetts most conservative legislator, will be hosting the United States Senate's most conservative senator for a meet and greet at his home, in "The Barn.". The date is May 30th, at 6 p.m. This event has no cost. It is free, there isn't even a "suggested donation." It is a pure meet and greet.

From an Email by Jim:

Next week, Bernadette and I will be hosting a meet and greet at the Barn with US Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Senator Cruz is a great believer in the tenants of limited government and individual liberty which we have made a cornerstone of our time on Beacon Hill. Details of the event are below. We are asking anyone planning on attending to RSVP to Ethan Zorfas at ezorfas@tedcruz.org. We hope you will be able to join us.

The Barn is a center of conservative activism in Massachusetts. Much like the Liberty Clubhouse in Central Massachusetts, the Lyons have made their home available for countless conservative candidates and causes. This is not an event to be missed.

The address is 12 Highvale Lane and RSVP's are required at the email address above.

What: Meet and Greet with Senator Ted Cruz Where: The Barn, 12 Highvale Lane, Andover MA When: Saturday May 30, 2015, 6-8pm

I would love to see Cruz here in western PA. I’m just concerned though that his people might think PA is a lost cause. I’ve tried to let the campaign know that this region is comprised of more than the liberal utopias (big cities), and there are conservatives here who would like to see him and hear what he has to say.

Unless there’s a Reagan-style landslide, Cruz will not win Massachusetts in November 2016, yet he’s going there in 10 days.

That shows Cruz is fearless. A good quality to have as president.

Doesn’t have to win it in November. He has to win it in April.

CRUZ is laying the groundwork for all of the 2016 Primaries.
A true leader surrounds himself with other leaders. He is cementing his support.

This is great. Reagan won 49 states. I’d love to see our Texas Reagan take all 50.

Exactly. We can’t give up on the northeast. They’ve been decimated by liberalism. States such as Vermont, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts are not gonna vote Republican, but states such as Maine, New Hampshire, and maybe Pennsylvania can be won. We just can’t throw in the towel on the entire region. We have to force the Dems to campaign and spend money in some of those states, or else they can spend more in states the Republicans have to win, and where the races will be close such as Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida. I’m tired of seeing the northeast go solid blue every election. Make the Dems work for it.

I believe Cruz will go there because he believes Massachusetts is winnable and he rightly believes his message as HE is uniquely able to deliver it is one that can sell in red as well as blue states.

He wouldn't waste time otherwise.

It also shows that despite what the GOPe might think his campaign will not be so quick to write-off Massachusetts.

Andover is also located just south of the New Hampshire border too so the town is equally convenient to both States.

FReegards!

I think Cruz will aggressively target the “battleground” states over the summer. Expect him to show up in the Pittsburgh, PA area a number of times by the end of 2015.

Massachusetts has a very large number of Conservatives. If ALL came out to vote in every election, we could make some serious changes. But...polling numbers are dismal, year after year here. The DemocRATS seem to mobilize their voters better.

At this point there's no reason to write off any part of the country. Go after the 'Reagan democrats' now.

If republicans continue to follow the advise of the consultants and play by the numbers they'll be screwed anyway because according to them everything is trending towards the democrats.

Engaging areas that the party writes off is a brilliant strategy.

I hope so. I really look forward to seeing the senator. It’s too hard for me to travel alone and since I’m surrounded by liberals, I wouldn’t be able to find anyone to go with me.

Good thinking. Romney essentially blew us off because, I suppose, his team thought this area was not winnable. Now I had no intention of voting for Romney anyway, but it seems to me that the smart candidate should at least put in an appearance even in places that might seem like lost causes. Who knows how many members of the “silent majority” are out there?
