Interactions on the social platform Facebook related to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas more than doubled those of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush during a period measured earlier this month according to data -- which is approximate -- provided to ABC News by Facebook.

Facebook, which measured the data from April 17 to April 23, reported 2.2 million interactions related to Cruz and about 1 million interactions related to Bush.

Facebook defines "interactions" on the social platform as posts, comments, likes and shares.

Bush is exploring a run for the White House while Cruz has officially declared his candidacy for the 2016 presidential race....

I see Jebbie winning the TX primary with 32 or so percent, and all the others dividing the 68 percent majority.

Jeb will not win Texas, in fact, I don’t see him getting out of single digits here.

Jeb Bush has only one advantage going into Texas, over Ted Cruz - more cash available. So far as name recognition, “Bush” is getting to be an old brand, not that much in prominence in Texas any more, and certainly Ted Cruz has as much or more in that department.

Plus, Senator Cruz resonates more with the Latino population, as they see him as “one of us”, while Jeb is only sort of second-hand “Latino”.

It will be interesting to see how Texas plays out. The primary will be early in
the game, Mar. 1, with several other states appear to be scheduled on the same day.

If you were even a peon “bundler” like I am and viewing all the $$$ being raised already for Cruz just in Texas, you might change your mind. If donations roughly equate with support, especially at the “grass-roots” level, Ted has already won here. Even Bush, Perry and Paul donors are coming over to this side. In droves. I often click on the charts just to laugh.

Yet he’ll be shoved down our throats as the nominee, despite what we the people of the party want!

No. I worked for Presidents Carter and Reagan. No two individuals are the same, of course, and President Reagan’s background was very different than Senator Cruz’s and they come from two different time periods. Having said that, he is the closest I’ve seen since President Reagan left the scene. Former Governor Palin had some similarities, but not like this.

I don’t think he will be shove down our throats. I think TPTB are starting to realize that El Jefe is impossible to sell at any price. Money is the most important thing in politics, but it’s not the only thing.

No. I think they’re starting to flirt with Rubio now, as in, can they get their illegal workforce with him. Give it three weeks. I believe, in the end, they’ll decide that past alliances with conservatives, whether In name only or not, brands Rubio as too much of a risk.

I think they are looking/looked at Walker as well, but they’ve already moved on from there.

No. I honestly expect Romney to throw back in, to save the GOP, of course. He ducked out because of El Jefe, and he’ll wade back in as El Jefe falls.

Romney is going to shoved down our throats. Watch.

I’ll give it The first of June for him to toss back in, with rumors of his discontent with the status quo to leak a few weeks prior...

Maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but it has never occurred
to me to send money to any politician. For any reason.

Here you’ve got a suit-wearing dandy who figures himself
smarter and better than everyone, so much so that he figures he
ought to be in charge of things.

He’s already got a better job than me and more money than
me, yet I should throw him some dollars so he can get an
even BETTER job and more money and thinking more highly of himself?

I just have never been motivated to contribute to something like that.

I’ll contribute a vote, but it’s HIS job to convince me.

This isn’t directed at Cruz, by the way.
Once he announced, my decision was made.
