Why Marco Rubio has a real shot at 2016 Republican nomination (More about Cruz & Paul)
Fox News ^ | April 13, 2015 | Erick Erickson

Ted Cruz remains a conservative favorite in 2016. In 2012, the establishment backed his Senate opponent in Texas, then Lt. Governor David Dewhurst. The conservative grassroots backed Cruz and pushed him over the finish line. Cruz has since remained a favorite of the grassroots with a continually antagonist relationship with the Republican establishment.

In 2010, Rand Paul, before Cruz, was a grassroots favorite. The Republican Establishment backed his rival, Trey Grayson. Paul rallied a coalition of conservative grassroots and Ron Paul acolytes to trounce Grayson and win the Kentucky Senate seat. Since then, Paul has wobbled between maintaining grassroots support and developing establishment support. In 2014, for example, he backed Mitch McConnell for re-election and has taken an occasional aggressive position to contrast himself from Cruz.

Marco Rubio is the original Tea Party candidate. His candidacy united the grassroots against the leadership and he won. The Washington crowd convinced themselves he could not win, but the grassroots proved they could pick a winner. Rubio was the first.

In the same year Rand Paul won, the man who started the major revolt between grassroots activists and party leaders ran. It was the Rubio race that really exposed the divide between the base and the leadership. The leadership backed then Florida Governor Charlie Crist. The grassroots, led by former Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina, allied with Marco Rubio. Activists began urging a boycott of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the Washington group that helps the GOP take the Senate....

Amnesty is a deal-breaker. Any candidate that supports amnesty does not get my vote.

Do you fools want to win in 2016 or not? Rubio is articulate, a fresh face for our side, can pull in the hispanic vote, is excellent on foreign policy, is well received by the tea party wing, and a Christian.

Pray for him and give the man a chance. We need to come together against Hillary folks. Get real

Best line from Rubio’s speech today:

“Just yesterday, a leader from yesterday began a campaign for President by promising to take us back to yesterday,” Rubio said, without mentioning Clinton by name.

If you can show me on which web site senator Cruz says he will not give amnesty to any illegals, and deport them all, I will instantly move him ahead of governor Walker in my preference list.

That’s how to get people behind your candidate, call them all fools. Guess what? Ted Cruz is also Hispanic, if you hadn’t noticed and garnered over 40% of the Latino vote in his last election. Know what you call a Republican who gets 40% of that ethnic in a national election?

Fox is determined to sink Cruz and push Bush.
The Rubio ruse is a way to split real conservative votes and get Bush in.

Walker will not be able to keep anything he states about not giving amnesty to illegals....it’s going to happen and is now happening under Obama.

The reason I state this is the global agenda for this country is to open our borders in Canada and New Mexico for one single trading block....which includes people as a commodity to “fit” within those plans.... There are enormous amounts of money and programs via various foundations, groups etc. which are positioning Mexico and Canada for this shift....and that will mean an open border for cross country employment.

So whatever Walker is saying regarding no amnesty....he will not be able to oppose the larger picture if he becomes Pres. They are all going to yield to the bigger picture though how they do so may differ slightly the end result will be the same.........free flow of workforce across the borders.

I want to win...but I don't think Rubio can win. He has alienated the people that got him into office, and caused mistrust with other people who were paying attention to his shenanigans with the gang of 8.

Cruz is more principled and trustworthy.

Sadly they are ALL for amnesty of some kind.
No one, not a single candidate has said and I have heard “I will allow no illegal immigrants to stay. They should all go back to where they came from and get in line behind those who are waiting in line legally”.

Walker has not said that,
Cruz has not said that,
Rand Paul has not said tha,
Rubio has not said that,
and Bush has said just the opposite...that we show “love” and make them all legal citizens.

When we do not deport all illegals who broke our laws, it is a form of amnesty. There is no way to slice it and dice it.

Yep...it’s going to happen regardless of the American people resisting this shift. The end result will be the same no matter how they all spin this.

As of right now, today we have three ( 3 ) first term Senators officially running for President. Something about that rubs me the wrong way. Mainly the lack of a record. Actually Rubio has more of an elected office record than the other two.
Cruz is really only one year into his term.
Paul decided he was so valuable, he would have his Republican buddies jerry the system in order to run for both the Senate and the presidency.
Rubio has said he will not run for reelection next year.
So to me: Advantage Rubio
If these are the only candidates and of course they are not, I would have to vote for Cruz. He agrees with me on more issues that Rubio. And Paul completely disqualified himself by queering the system and running for two offices.

Rubio is a degenerate opportunistic prick who will do or say anything to get elected or get ahead.

Even Jeb Bush refused to sign legislation making Florida a primary seat belt enforcement offense state, as well as signing a law that prevented local municipalities from passing cell phone driving prohibitions or laws that made it illegal to carry a loaded gun in your glove compartment without some kind of “permit”.

Rubio conspired with the orange faggot Charlie Crist to pass legislation to make Florida a primary seat belt enforcement state, and would have done worse if he hadn’t gone WASHINGTONIAN.

This TWERP has also NEVER had a real job outside government.

He’s the new GODDAMNED MITT ROMNEY.

Reject with EXTREME PREJUDICE.
