Cruz wants to give Green Cards to illegals.

Prove it, from Cruz' own words or policy. until you provide that you're nothing but a hack.

I'll wait for your link to his exact wording, and not some numbskull editorialist
taking Cruz out of context. Not one of you "hacks" has been able to provide this
information for my consumption.

Until you do, you're nothing but a troll.

""Max, I'm not clear on your personal immigration policy""

This is about me now? Haul them all away in chains and send them to their homeland.
If they return again, then send them all to work prisons.

No illegal should ever be allowed citizenship no matter what, ever.

Clear enough?

Cruz claims to oppose Chain Migration, but he has never introduced legislation to stop it.

I've seen this brought up before but you Paul-Walker-Bots don't seem to read.
Cruz is a Senator, they don't make laws, laws start in the House of representatives.

That's how it works. Cruz has no power or authority to bring any law
to the House floor.

Maybe you would like to explain to me where I'm wrong?

Or, do you support massive LEGAL immigration, and huge increases in work visas, like Ted Cruz?

Massive? Please emphasize your rhetoric by explaining Massive.

Cruz wants to increase work vises 500%, from 36k to 325k. You call that massive?
These are highly trained (Temp) workers who will pay taxes, and will not receive citizenship
for just showing up. We have a pathway to citizenship but it's not good enough for
the Marxists out to destroy America with massive immigration.
But you already know all that, don't you?

Re: “Prove it, from Cruz’ own words or policy. until you provide that you’re nothing but a hack.”

Sorry - I didn’t know you had a reading disability.

From the New York Times link I previously sent you:

Ted Cruz: “The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight...”

The work permit Senator Cruz refers to is the RPI - Registered Provisional Immigrant.

Once an illegal has an RPI, he or she may immediately apply for a Green Card.

Re: “This is about me now? Haul them [illegal immigrants] all away in chains and send them to their homeland.”

That doesn’t tell me anything I don’t already know. Every Republican who supports Amnesty makes the same claim about illegal immigrants.

I want to know your policy on LEGAL immigration.

We currently admit 1.25 million LEGAL immigrants each year.

We currently issue about 750,000 new or renewed LEGAL work visas each year.

Ted Cruz submitted several Amendments to the Gang of Eight Amnesty. All his Amendments are published in the Federal Register.

Cruz wants to increase LEGAL immigration to 2 million per year.

Cruz wants to increase LEGAL work visas to more than 3 million per year.

Do you support those Amendments?

Re: “laws start in the House of representatives...Maybe you would like to explain to me where I'm wrong?”

The Gang of Eight Amnesty bill is officially “Senate 744 - 113th Congress.”

Title: “The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013 (S.744)”

Introduced in the Senate: 16 April 2013
Passed in the Senate: 27 June 2013 (68-32)
Sent to the House: 27 June 2013

The House of Representatives has refused to vote on S.744.

Re: “...you Paul-Walker-Bots don't seem to read.”

Rand Paul and Governor Walker both support Amnesty and massive LEGAL immigration.

I have never supported either one of them.

Re: “Cruz wants to increase work vises 500%, from 36k to 325k. You call that massive?”

The visa in question is the H-1B.

It is renewable for 6 years, so 6 X 325,000 is the correct calculation.

Also, universities, non-profit labs, and any state or federal agency may hire an UNLIMITED number of H-1B’s for up to ten years.

Also, foreign STEM graduates with a B.S. may apply for an almost unlimited number of “internships” that last 2 years.

Also, foreign STEM graduates with a Ph.D may apply for an almost unlimited number of “fellowships” that can last up to 6 years.

Just so you know, almost 80% of the completely average STEM Ph.D's from China, India, Russia, Iran, and eastern Europe are still in the USA 6 years after they graduate.

Almost all the elite Ph.D's from northern Europe, Japan, and the English speaking nations return to their home countries because the pay scale and the standard of living are the same as the USA.

One more thing...

Remember the link you provided where Senator Cruz talks about high tech visas?

What do you think Cruz is doing in that video?

He's submitting amendments to the Senate “Gang of Eight” Amnesty bill, which you claim the Senate cannot do!

Correctly, I said "Cruz has no power or authority to bring any law to the House floor.",
and nothing about Amendments. I was not confusing the two and Reid blocked everything.

Are you going to ask if Cruz stopped beating his dog yet?

Ted Cruz: “The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship,

Right, and Cruz is against Citizenship for illegals. Right now the federal judge in Tx
has blocked Obama but without Boehner and McSenator nothing will be done outside of that.
And 26 other states have come on board opposing Obama. That's the good news.

The DNC/GOP leaders want the illegals made into voters, not Cruz.

Cruz wants to increase LEGAL immigration to 2 million per year.

Cruz wants to increase LEGAL work visas to more than 3 million per year.

Do you support those Amendments?

Where do you get those numbers? Could you please provide the information to those numbers?

Cruz: “I strongly support legal immigration. Legal immigration is a
fundamental pillar of our nation's heritage,

Snip: There is currently a serious shortage of workers in the fields of
science, technology, engineering, and math, yet every year we send thousands
of high-tech graduate students back to their home countries to start businesses
and create jobs. This makes no sense. End.

We've always had an immigration policy, and I'm not opposed to Legal immigration.
Changing it is one thing, allowing illegals without education in, is another.

Our problem isn't the legal work visas or H1B, it's the invasion of Welfare Scabs
and allowing those Welfare Scabs to stay and Vote themselves more Welfare.

Re: “Correctly, I said “Cruz has no power or authority to bring any law to the House floor...and nothing about Amendments.”

Actually, you said this first:

“Cruz is a Senator, they don't make laws, laws start in the House of representatives.”

No - in theory, all tax and spending bills start in the House. In practice, each chamber has identical legislative powers.

The Senate is empowered to ignore any law passed by the House. The House is empowered to ignore any law passed by the House.

Boehner did not ignore S.744. He invoked the “Hastert Rule.” Since less than 50% of Republican Congressmen supported S.744, Boehner refused to bring the Gang of Eight Amnesty to the floor of the House.

I brought up Cruz's Amendments because YOU posted a 12 minute video on it!

The title of your link was:

“Sen. Cruz Amendment to Immigration Legislation to Increase H-1B Visas”

So, if I understand you, Max, the Senate can't make laws, but Ted Cruz can make Amendments to laws that don't exist?

Section. 7. All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House...

Doesn't seem to say anything about spending. Is there a law or other section I'm missing?

Re: “Right, and Cruz is against Citizenship for illegals.”

We both agree on that, so what?

You challenged me to find a Cruz quote that showed Cruz supports Green Cards for illegals.

I gave you the quote, twice, and you ignored it twice.

The Judge in Texas has nothing to do with the Gang of Eight Amnesty bill, which is what Cruz was talking about in his Green Card quote.

Re: “Doesn't seem to say anything about spending. Is there a law or other section I'm missing?”

From the Congressional Research Service:

“Historically, the House has asserted from time to time that the Origination Clause applies not only to bills to raise revenues, but to bills to spend revenues as well.”

http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/RL31399.pdf

I was trying to preempt a distracting, trivial objection from Max-Max, who would have claimed that S.744 had appropriation features, so it could not be originated in the Senate.

Instead, I catch hell from someone - you - who invokes Constitutional literalism!

I give up.

Oh no, don’t misunderstand. I’ve never looked at this issue.

Congress, like the other branches, seems to just do whatever it wants without regard to the Constitution.

Re: “Our problem isn’t the legal work visas or H1B...”

Really?

That means you are not a software engineer.

There are roughly 300,000 Asian Indian contract employees writing software in the USA.

They replace almost all American born software engineers who are over 40 years old.

In spite of the great “shortage,” wages for American software engineers have stagnated for 15 years, exactly the point in time when the H-1B flood gate opened.

That's rich, you come here distracting Cruz' words and intents by insinuating
that he wants Amnesty and Citizenship for illegals.

And now it's my fault because you cannot back up the lie?
Troll comes to mind.

And BTW, now that you've bitched about the Tech sector I recognize your
true intent on bashing and lying about Cruz. Yes, insinuating anything
other than the truth is a lie.

For one of you there are many more who will say you're full of crap about the Tech sector
and what you're saying about those 300k Indians. I'll stand behind Cruz on this issue of
raising the H1B visas because if anything we cannot have an isolationist Conservative.

And let me put words into your lying mouth, if Cruz was against legal immigration
I know for a fact that you "hacks" would be bitching about that.

Bring up as many Amendments as you please to distract from your lie. I could care less.
The fact remains about all of you Walker/Paul/Bush-Bots, you're all lying trolls.

Cruz did "NOT" say he supported green cards for illegals.
There you go with another bold faced lie.

Ted Cruz: “The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship,
but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight.

Where is that quote does he say he supported green cards for illegals?
Oh, it doesn't. You gave me this quote that didn't answer the question.

This is what you're basing your insinuation on about Cruz supporting Amnesty?
Holy crap you people are FUBAR.
