A group of conservatives and libertarians in New Hampshire have come up with a plan they hope will block former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) from becoming the Republican partys nominee for President.
The idea is to hold their own presidential caucus in October and select a candidate behind whom they would all unite.
The group is called the 603 Alliance, named after the only area code in New Hampshire. According to a report by Politico, the plan was instigated by years of simmering discontent within the state Republican party, as conservative, libertarian, and Tea Party activists have grown increasingly frustrated with the moderate Republicans who have won the states primary in recent years.
The condensed Republican primary schedule and reduced number of debates planned for this election cycle only heightened their motivation to organize and give their support to a single conservative candidate to defeat Bush.
The frustration goes beyond just moderate presidential candidates like Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA), extending to intraparty fights for control of the state Republican party and ideological battles during primaries.
Two of the 603 Alliance organizers, Tea Party activist Jack Kimball and libertarian Andrew Hemingway, have been on the front lines of these battles. Kimball was briefly the partys state chairman in 2011 until being ousted by establishment Republicans led by New Hampshires top Republican elected officials. Hemingway was defeated in the gubernatorial primary to Walt Havenstein, an establishment candidate who lost the general election last year....

Stay out of the Bushes! The only intelligent think ever uttered by Jesse Jackson.
There is a serious flaw with Hemingway’s kingmaker idea. Think about it.
(hint: what if they select the wrong candidate in October: how do they correct the mistake? meet again before the primary and after Iowa? and try to correct it?)

Life is a gamble.
the more stupid you are, the more likely you lose your gamble.
Y’all don’t worry.
W got 29% of the vote here in 2000. New Hampshire is NOT Bush Country.
Wasn’t that before a mess of Massholes moved in?
pop grew by 7.3% since 2000.
most of the McCain2000-McCain2008-Huntsman2012 voters will reject both Bush and Cruz. They are anti-religious, yet anti-establishment. Walker has a shot at them.
Kasich or Pataki could make a run at them, but not necessarily successfully.
The Massachusetts refugee counties are the reddest in the state. It’s the Vermont border that’s the problem. Lots of New York liberals, having ruined Vermont, are coming in like locusts.
When I lived in Raleigh, you could not throw a stone with out hitting 2 New Yorkers.
I was once in a waiting room with about ten parents all waiting for our daughter's in ballet class.
Every one of us was a former NYer. Somehow, the group of us got talking about being from New York. I said really loudly so they ALL could hear me, "I don't mind you NYers coming here. Just don't bring your taxes and love of government with you".
Not one person smiled or laughed. Not even a covert nod in agreement. They all have every intention of bringing NY with them where ever it is they go. And unfortunately, that aint limited to the pizza and pastrami.
