Unfortunately for them, Cruz knows about them and he is not going to try to go after them, please them. He is not going for a hundred percent nor even the moderates.
His supporters won’t care about any painted rocks
the utter hypocrisy of the media has begun and will continue to reach ‘HISTORIC’ proportions as they start to pound on Cruz, after “0” and the media allowed to the bar to be set so low that you shouldn’t even be able to trip over it anymore.
You forget that in MSM-land, the bar can be in two positions at the same time, one position for liberals, and another position for conservatives.
This is just simple logic. Mathematics.
I don’t have time to collate it right now, but the same poll from CBS that had Cruz in 8th place last week with his negatives as high as his positives now has him in 5th place on positives with more importantly his negatives cut in half:
Would you vote for Ted Cruz: yes 37%, no 22%.
That’s a poll of republicans.
And. This poll was taken during his announcement.
This is the same poll that Rove was white boarding about Cruz last week.
The headline is completely ridiculous. He doesn’t have to “cajole” himself into contention, he’s already a major contender. Of course the media can’t bring itself to admit that.
Based solely on the title...
Why is Cruz cajoling? Can he not make a reasoned argument and see if the voters agree with him? Look at Killary Klintoon, she has a screechy, hectoring, nastiness to her voice. And she cajoles, hectors, and bitches the stupid to vote vagina, just like Obastard cajoled them to vote black. And the next one will be for them to cajole for some faggot or dyke.
Cruz isn’t going to shame me or you into voting for him, he’s going to have to convince us that voting FOR him is a worthwhile endeavor. And then the general public to vote FOR him in the general election if he is the nominee. Which 10 months out from the first primary, is a pretty big IF. 18 months is a long time, and things change in a heartbeat just ask Howard Dean.
Amen !
I think you’re in for a treat. : )
“Cajole?”
That’s sexist. That word can not be used against Ted. /s
Hillary has her words. We have ours.
Better a head set mic than lugging a teleprompter to every rally.

I don’t know what is more entertaining...Cruz’s nutty antics or these fawning articles written about him. This man will never be on a national ballot for president, and will probably be a one-term senator. How anyone can take him seriously is beyond me.
Ed Botsko · Top Commenter · Ambridge Area High School
The difference is President Obama and Senator Clinton are competent, caring folks... Calgary Cruz is a destroyer...

Fox news, tea bagism and gerrymandering are pretty thick here in Texas. Wish I could agree on the one term Senator thing.

There once was a man named Cruz
Whose goal was to get in the news
But we grew suspicious
That he was just vicious
And not what the US could use

Cruz is pretty much everything that is wrong with the politics of the Empire in one unappealing package: an ideologue, with no ideas, no concern for the American worker, and the same delusions of unipolar swagger internationally. His candidacy will be cooked with single digit polling faster than than you can say “Texas BBQ” lol.

Has anyone informed Ted that you need 67 votes in the senate in order to repeal a law?

,,,the republicans are a bunch of freakin’ sick cartoon characters, not one of them fit for “dog catcher” even in my little home town. I feel a Democrat landslide win coming on, thank God.

He isn’t one of us. Note only 28 percent of eligible voting Texans participated in that election and he didn’t garner all of us by a long shot.

“The former college debate national champion...” I stop reading or listening to anyone who can preface a statement with this with a straight face. Our current president graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard, was president of it’s Law Review and lectured for several years on the Constitution at one of our best universities, but that has never been good enough to concede Barack Obama is a smart man. Now, only a few years later, Cruz winning a debating championship and taking a class at Harvard on the constitution gives him near angelic levels of smartness. I’m not sure if its the American press’s role in dumbing down America that ticks me off more, or the pervasive double standard when it comes to covering Democrats and Republicans.

Come on! He might appeal to Texas————but he’ll never get by with his preachy way on the international Stage! People see this Fake coming a mile away! An he’s given the Democrat’s a lot of JUNK for their Campaign Ad’s if he nominated to run for the GOP an a lot of it so embarrassing that the GOP would be hanging their head in shame, when the real campaign kicked off in ernest!

“Ted Cruz knows how to give a speech” I’ll say! A speech that frightens children and anyone old enough to have lived through Joe McCarthy’s reign of terror.

no he knows how to give a speech for people of single digit IQ.. that’s about it.

Ted Cruz is a great salesman. He got his fellow Republicans to hate Obamacare while he signed up for it. Republicans who follow the herd are stepping in sh.t.
Ed Botsko · Top Commenter · Ambridge Area High School
The answer is NO... Ted is a charlatan and a joke... The press is propping him up because it’s cheap, easy “journalism”... Ignore him for a week and he will disappear.

Ted Cruz’s Presidential aspirations will fail for the simple fact that Fox “News” will not support him. They will anoint Screw eyes Scott Walker and downplay the rest of the clown car posse.

I am sorry to have to say this to my fellow Tea Party friends and neighbors, whose hopes and dreams for a better future were raised recently with the presidential announcement by and for Sen Ted Cruz, but this guy is playing us all for suckers. When you stop and consider Cruz’s excellent legal background, for this shyster to now suggest that just because he was fully naturalized at birth by statute, with no need to attend any further naturalization procedures at some later time,* as a person foreign-born of US citizen-parent(s), that somehow makes him an Art. II, §I, Cl. 5 natural born Citizen should shock the conscience of every honest, red-blooded American. Please save your money. This guy is going to get run out of town by his own petard long before the primary election.

The fascist revival is underway. Wrap yourself in the flag and blame the other. It has worked to get dictators elected in the past. I hope and believe Americans are smarter than that.
I do expect he gets some help from Al Qaeda and ISIS. Terror attacks may scare the sense out of many people. And he is the perfect candidate for ISIS - the one most likely to play right into their hand.

Please quit calling Ted Cruz a national champion debater. The National Debate Tournament is the premier tournament since 1947. Ted won the first year of the North America Debating Championship which was held at McGill University in Canada in 1992. More like the “Arena League,” hardly a national event.
Shane Earl Cheung · Top Commenter
I doubt it if he will finish in the top 3. He will most likely finish anywhere between fourth and sixth. His actions as a Senator, undermined his own chances. He has shown he cannot be trusted and that he has not learned the art of compromising. He is too extreme.

Ted Cruz is a Ivy League elitist ... Harvard Law, National Debate Champion ... blah, blah, blah. We need fewer Ivy Leaguers and high achievers ... and more regular folk in Washington.

You would think that such a smart man would not need to lie so much.
Translation: It is our intent to cajole folks to not consider Cruz because he scares the crap out of us commie-oriented morons.
The media has gone hysterical about all the Can this Can that negativity.
And so are the GOP RINO's going bonkers. Their status quo campaigning is
being ripped out of the earth and thrown off the cliff.
The political status Quo is what America is sick of, including the disgusting
bold faced Lies, and I hate to say it 'From Both Sides".
