A Republican congressman believes Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, would be as great of a president as Ronald Reagan.
Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., made the comparison while talking to Yellowhammer Radio with Cliff Sims.
I believe Ted Cruz would be an excellent president. The parallels between Ted Cruz and the way he conducts himself, his belief system, and Ronald Reagan are uncanny, Brooks said....

How about as a Senator who merely talks?
I’ll buy that.
Yup. Like Reagan, he’ll surround himself with Bushies and GOP hacks.
Sorry. Been there. Done that.
Why should Cruz be President? Let us count the ways...
Pretty impressive...
Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 - May 2008, Cruz was the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas, the youngest Solicitor General in the entire country, not to mention the longest tenure in Texas history.
Partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he led the firms U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.
Cruz has authored 80+ SCOTUS briefs and presented 40+ oral arguments before The Court

Described as a superb constitutional lawyer, the mans considerable skills and laser-like focus were on display for all when he took oily reptile Eric Holder by the neck and made him
answer the damn question.
In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz assembled a coalition of 31 states in defense of the principle that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms.
Cruz presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
In addition to his victory in Heller, Cruz has successfully defended the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds, the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools and the majority of the 2003 Texas redistricting plan. Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt by the International Court of Justice to re-open the criminal convictions of 51 murderers on death row throughout the United States.

Ted Cruz is currently junior US Senator from Texas. In order to win the 2012 Republican nomination for the Senate seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison, Cruz had to defeat Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst -heavily favored/backed by the DC old-guard GOP- in the Republican primary runoff. In the event, TEA Party favorite Cruz crushed Dewhurst, 57-43%...
he then beat Democrat Paul Sadler in the general election by a similar margin, 56-41. Cruz is also endorsed by the Tea Party Movement and the Republican Liberty Caucus.

Godspeed, Senator Cruz- Im all in.
All fine and good, but does he or does he not support amnesty? Amnesty being defined as any condition or result that allows anyone illegally in the US to remain. This is like abortion, there is no real gray area.
So which candidate for president piques your interest this time around?
Talk is talk. As in the rest of our “conservative” Senate and House.
While soetoro runs enemy islamist circles around them...and us all.
Phooey! Were all going to end up unable to recover a wit’s cracker.
Now, if he were urging impeachment....
They are called employers clown boy.
Apparently from his tagline, he supports McCain. McCain did such a good job of putting Obama in the White House, why not do it again?
I second the representative’s motion. Ted Cruz is just what we need to take our country back from the muslim brotherhood.
There was only one Ronald Reagan. Ted Cruz will be an outstanding president but in his own way. Saying he is another Ronald Reagan isn’t fair to either man.
Cruz or lose.
Whatever.
Well said!
[All fine and good, but does he or does he not support amnesty?]
CRUZ appears to have the strongest position on amnesty. His position is to close the borders, then work on the illegals.
Who know where Walker stands on that issue. Doesn’t look good too me.

I'm sorry. I am such a drag. I really like Cruz. And Rand Paul. And Walker! And I worship Ben Carson as a human being.
I wish I could be like you and care about elections. Trust me ... been there. Done that. But, let's just say ... Fool me Once ...;)
