Ted Cruz Has Zero Chance of Winning
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Ring of Fire ^ | March 26, 2015 | Justin Lane

Posted on 03/26/2015 3:14:32 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

“To me, he’s just a guy with a big mouth and no results…”

By now, you’ve heard that Ted Cruz thinks he’s running for president in 2016. Ted Cruz’s entire political career has been marked by opposing progress. He has no significant legislative or leadership record to speak of. But let’s be clear: Ted Cruz is not a serious candidate. He is not a serious politician.

He is a serious pain in the ass.

His own party rejects him, and that rejection highlights the schism inside the Republican party. In an interview with CNN, Rep. Peter King said that Senator Cruz is just a “big mouth” who has “basically led the Republican Party of the cliff.”

“To me, he’s just a guy with a big mouth and no results,” King said.

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Cruz is kidding himself, playing out the fantasy of his ridiculous supporters.

Cruz appeals to a far-right moral conservative base that others in the party tend to be more distanced from. He is more akin to Dr. Ben Carson in the reasons for his political rise. Neither Carson nor Cruz is a legitimate potential contender though.

Both lack the political power to rally the social conservative base of the Republican party in a serious way. He’s virtually hated by the party at large. What Cruz is banking on is that the fundamentalist branch of the GOP will be strong enough to win out against the moderates of the party.

It won’t be. He will lose.

Beyond this, his positions are pathetic. Take healthcare as an example: Ted Cruz wants to repeal Obamacare and replace is with nothing. That’s an irresponsible tactic that fits perfectly with Ted Cruz as a congressional politician who would rather make philosophical grandstands than pass meaningful legislation. As a potential president, his position is wholly unacceptable.

It becomes clear that Cruz will stop at nothing to drive his esoteric positions home. He is willing to divide and ransack his own political party to gain headlines. As a president, he would almost certainly be willing to rip apart this nation to garner himself more attention.

While it may be getting him attention from fundamentalist extremist conservatives, it won’t play well on the national stage with voters.

Ted Cruz is kidding himself and playing out the fantasy of his ridiculous supporters. Ted Cruz will lose.

I’m sure they wrote the same things about Barack Obama.

In the year of our Lord 2015 what was mainstream political conservative in the 1970’s is now consider fringe lunatic not ever worthy of consideration. This is the real story.

If you don’t like who is running, run yourself if you can do better job.

I’ll wait until primaries to see who is best, but badmouth now is stupid...

Bigmouth liberal cracks wise.

Anybody remember when Slick Willie ran on the basis of a couple of back-to-back terms as Goobernor of Arkansas and Robert F. Kennedy ran damn-near-naked for Senator for New York, followed by Herself the Cankles?

How 'bout Bozo? He was around the Senate just long enough, as someone wisecracked at the time, to pick up directions to the White House.

And John Kerry .... he was a senator, hey, who knew?

And these guys mouth off about Cruz, who's a better man on his "off" days than these guys have ever wanted to be. Same's true for Sarah Palin, but these clowns have all the answers -- hey, just ask 'em!

His own party rejects him, and that rejection highlights the schism inside the Republican party.

The party establishment rejects him.

It remains to be seen to what extent the broader party memberships rejects him. Some certainly will, like the moderates (BFD).

But the same thing was the case with Reagan.

There was a good article posted yesterday on Cruz's route to the nomination. Knock Huckabee, Carson and Perry out by consolidating and taking the Evangelical vote. Talk Libertarian enough to suck votes away from Rand Paul. Then turn to deal with Walker, ending up as the direct counter to Bush.

If Cruz does that, and it is possible, then the GOPe will cut all sorts of deals with him to lock in their organizational and financial support. Again, just like Reagan did.

For someone who doesn’t have a chance of winning, these Leftists/Dems/GOPelites are sure using up a lot of “ink” against Senator Cruz.

Are they trying to convince us or themselves?

==

“ink” = print, web, broadcast media.

The democrats have a weak, corrupt and aging candidate in Hillary and are getting worried. I don’t worry so much about what the media and dems say as it is their nature to lie and demean our candidates.

I am more astounded by the people who posted here the very day Cruz announced, and were already running him down just as they did Perry and others in previous campaigns. Posting large copy and paste ‘supposed’ info over and over and ignoring those who refuted some of that ‘crap’.

As to the comment “He has no significant legislative or leadership record to speak of. — Ted Cruz is not a serious candidate. He is not a serious politician”. They forget that Cruz was Solicitor General of Texas, the State’s chief lawyer before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Cruz’s record of having argued before the Supreme Court 9 times is more than any practicing lawyer in Texas or any current member of congress.

Good gosh and golly! How wonderful it is for the Liberals and Leftists to take time out from their Obama ass kissing to tell us Conservatives how dumb we would be to nominate Ted Cruz!

Awfully nice of them, donchathink? Why, you just gotta sigh with admiration when you think about the willingness of these selfless compassionate Liberals who are willing to reach across the isle and make sure we nominate a PROPER candidate for them to stomp in the general election.
