The admission that the America you and I grew up in is indeed gone forever. NOTHING about liberty seems to matter to the current and previous one or two generations. They deserve what they get. Clinton or Cruz or Mark Levine, it doesn’t matter. America, i.e., freedom and liberty, has been, by my reckoning, dead for at least 4 decades. Social Security, Medicare, welfare, unemployment insurance, EBT cards, free this, free that, collapse of the government run schools, yadda, yadda. If anyone can point to anything positive that has happened to America in that 4 decade time frame I will be more than willing to abandon my pessimism.
