Read Walker's own words in comment #18

Sarah Palin, Scott Walker, and Ted Cruz have all said in the past that they supported "a pathway to citizenship."

I do not care about past statements. I am looking at which presidential candidate will pledge to support border security and uphold immigration laws going forward.

I am asking you to post a link to any legislation that Walker proposed or signed into law that benefitted illegal aliens as Governor.

And Ted Cruz offered an amendment that would increase H1B visas by 500%

Now, I consider immigration to be one of my top-five issues. At this point, given their respective comments, NONE of the three likely top-tier GOP candidates (Cruz, Walker or Bush) are telling me what I want to hear on that.

So the solution, for myself and anyone (including you, I'd suppose) else who sees immigration as a critical issue for the future of the US, is just to say they're ALL RINOS who are in the back pocket of the Chamber of Commerce and sit 2016 out.

Right?

Right?

Sorry, that kind of attitude doesn't fly with me. Both Cruz and Walker are acceptable, IMHO. Not perfect, definitely flawed in their own ways, maybe not having made the best decisions in the past in terms of what they've said, or supported or proposed.

But they're both better than Bush, and definitely magnitudes better than whoever the Dems are going to put up next year.

ME NEITHER! I'M ON YOUR SIDE! YEAH! LET'S DO SHOTS!

But who do you trust to secure the borders? Jeb? Rubio? Grahamnesty? Huckster?

Your choices are Walker or Cruz or Palin, assuming she runs.

Don't look at past statements. What counts is the candidate's sincerity and trustworthiness on the issue. Walker was naïve, the base reacted, and he corrected his stand. It happens.

You'll know them by their ACTIONS.
Walker's actions, or "FLIP-FLOPS", have put him in the "HELL NO !" category.

“Name one piece of pro-illegal alien legislation that Walker has proposed or signed.”

When he was county executive in 2002 he signed a resolution passed by the Milwaukee County Board that was in support of amnesty.

http://www.nationalreview.com/sites/default/files/021315_MilwaukeeCountyResolution.pdf

He hasn’t signed any such bill as governor however I do not believe that anything like that was passed in the state legislature.

Illegal Immigration hasn’t been an issue at the forefront in WI.

It is nuts to calculate who the Republican candidate should be by basing the choice on whether or not he can beat the possible boogieman/boogiewoman du jour Democrat opponent.

It is letting Democrats both call and manipulate the shots.

How soon we forget how these boards read in 2007 about this time. It was ASSUMED that whoever the candidate turned out to be would have to be able to beat Hillary, the Great and Terrible. The constant question was "but can he/she beat Hillary?"

I really don't care who the Democrats nominate. The ONLY thing I care about is who the Republicans nominate. If "they" are already basing their consideration on Fear of Hillary, it bodes as ill for all concerned as it did in 2007.

Especially seeing as how in 2012, enough legal on-the-ground actual Americans spotted the sucker's bet of voting to endorse government tyranny either way, to let Obama "win" by default. That is what happened.

The only important thing is who will nominate or represent limited government Christian conservatism. Cruz (and Palin, for that matter), are the only two who fit that description. Sorry, though Walker is a good fighter of unions and pro-life, he has one too many examples of actual limited government principle sailing over his head. He wants to manage government better, tinker with it and "fix" it. A limited government Christian conservative wants to eliminate tyrannical government consistently, morally (judicial) and fiscally, so Americans can pursue free, moral prosperity again.

At this point, given their respective comments, NONE of the three likely top-tier GOP candidates (Cruz, Walker or Bush) are telling me what I want to hear on that.

You know what I want to hear on immigration? I want a call for the end of minimum wage and onerous regulation that makes employing teens too risky and expensive.

I want a call for the end of government obligation to provide education for illegal immigrant kids. (Cruz just did that, by the way).

I want a call for the end of government charity subsidies in welfare and family support that illegal immigrants take as entitlements. No more food stamps, rent assistance, education, school lunches, AFWDC, for illegals. Deprive them of jobs (give them to teen agers at a real market value) and deprive them of government-provided food and shelter. Desperate poverty is best attended by true volunteer charities in a Christian spirit, a whole different deal than amoral Government entitlement programs.

THAT's what I want to hear on immigration, and judging Cruz's general philosophy of governance, I think I'd hear close to it from him. It would go a very, very long way to solving the illegal immigration problem.

I am aware of that. He supported the premise and put his signature on it.

I’m just answering your question I can’t help it if you don’t like the answer.
