All of the people in the GOP who are pushing amnesty always say that it isnt amnesty.
If the illegal aliens dont return home and apply like everybody else who really IS an immigrant, then it is amnesty.
We either have the rule of law or we dont.
We must elect a President who WILL uphold the rule of law after this one who wont.
I hope he’s not just saying this because he thinks he has to.
I don’t care why he says it, as long as he doesn’t change it back.
That makes two of us. The only concession I can go along with to illegals is that if they came here immediately after the last blanket amnesty, and have broken not a single any other law, and have paid taxes every year, they be allowed to stay, but they must go at the end of line. The last blanket amnesty during Reagan administration was a magnate for more illegals to flood in.
Yes. Many talk about making those here now “get in the back of the line” while conveniently ommiting that the “back of the line” is in the other nation, not in this country.
“I hope hes not just saying this because he thinks he has to.”
Of course he is. This is Mitt dejavu all over again.
My truth meter is registering high. Not many these days will just come out and say, I have changed on this issue. When that happens their honesty points to root-cause honesty.
